Third round hurt a lot. I knew I could shoot -7 and get within the top ten if I could mitigate the bogeys. Welp made the birdies, even an eagle and at least 3 bogeys with a double for a -4. Going to need an outstanding round 4 to get me in to that top 10 spot. Worst part is that double bogey was on a par 3 I hit the green with the drive and four putted.

Well .. I got my first spanking on the Euro Tour. Between the 20 MPH windows and my verrrrrry slow tempo, I managed to shoot a +6 on the third round . I never in my life shot that badly. Fortunately I redeemed myself with a -10 on the last round. Question: Can you get demotion marks if you make the cut? I surely deserve one after shooting that round!

Yep, tough scoring indeed for R3. Lost my swing a little bit too, so not particularly happy with a -4. Like Ron, I've got Bob Hope of making top 10.

Started the second round with a slow downswing on my approach to end up right next to the bunker then failed to get to the green with my chip, and bogeyed. Well, if this is how I'm gonna play this year, maybe I can get a bunch of wins on the European Tour in between all my missed cuts, since I really have no chance to get promoted if I'm bad every other week.
EDIT: missed a 13 foot birdie on 3. Fast downswing off the tee into the rough on 4. Missed a 15 foot birdie on 10. 3-putt from like 20 feet on 14. Missed a 12 foot birdie on 15. Fast downswing on my approach on 18 forced me to settle for birdie. Finished with a 62 for -17 after 2 rounds, probably not enough.
Finally got around to my last 2 rounds. Second hole I missed a 6 foot birdie after using the slope behind the pin to get it close, beads were going hard left but the putt went dead straight. Missed what looked like a dead straight 17 footer on 5 for birdie but made a bending 14 footer on 6. Bogeyed 7, put my tee shot in the heavy rough then my par putt didn't break. I just failed to get up the hill on my drive where the pin was on 8, eagle putt left me with 8 feet, putt broke opposite to the beads and I had a 3-putt par. Didn't have an appropriate club off the tee on 12 and ended up missing a 15 foot par putt by 7 inches that didn't really break. Missed a 22 foot eagle from the fringe on 14 but made the birdie. Had a 25-30 foot putt on 15 that had the beads going hard left to right the entire way, the putt never broke at all and ended up going 50 feet. 20 foot putt back for par, same beads, putt broke a ton and I missed it badly on the downhill side. Parred 16, missed a 6 foot par on 17, nearly chipped in for eagle on 18 but made the 8 foot birdie to finish with a 70.
Honestly, for the most part I played the wind pretty well, but every green on this course has lying grids, most of my putts didn't do anything like what the grids said they would. I hope next week's course has greens that actually make some sense.
Fourth round had a fast downswing off the tee on 1 so what looked like a lot of left-to-right wind ended up in my hitting dead straight into the left bunker, but I managed to put it to 9 feet and made birdie. Nearly made a 62 foot birdie on 2, tapped in for par from a foot. Missed a 9 foot birdie on 11. Stuck my approach shot on 13 to 11 inches. Had a pretty good run at an albatross on 18 but made the 12 foot eagle putt to shoot a 62, puts me T-37 at -29 overall as it stands now. If I'd made the putts I'd missed from 10 feet or less in only the first and third rounds, I'd be top 10.

There are still people who haven't finished their rounds. How can people wait all week to play? That would drive me nuts.

Other things going on in their lives?... at least that's the case for me. Seems I did have a hope of top 10 -13 for R4 and sitting T9th. Now the swing is mostly under control, starting to find putting touch. Still room for improvement, but back to competing feels good.

Wow. David had to finish birdie, eagle, eagle to tie and beat Mark on the countback. What performance under pressure!
