First two rd's in, not good; having a lot of tempo issues last few days resulting in low GIR or long putts when I get one. First rd 67 (-5) second rd 66 (-6) to be -11 and sweating the cut-line, probably be a shot or two short but the higher winds in rd 2 might lower scores a little. Will wait to see if I need to play the last two.
Good luck to those yet to play / finish.

This was at 7p EST, and I figured the HB servers were being taxed? I'm usually averse to this theory, but recently I've been playing some society rounds around 5-6am GMT, and I've been shocked at how few bad downswing tempos I get - 2-3 per round whereas normally it's anywhere between 6-10+ per round. Could be a coincidence / placebo but it's enough to make me think that busier times might actually have an impact on tempo. Early morning GMT might be the sweet spot as 90% of yanks have gone to sleep by then. I was on vacation for the whole Thanksgiving week... probably played 50-60 rounds that week at all times of the day... early in the morning were awesome- 6-10p EST were horrible. I wont play any meaningful rounds at night... it may or may not be a thing- but I'm sticking to early morning or really late evening rounds for TGC Tournaments.

Round 3 finished at -8, dissapointing day on the green. Hit almost all fairways and greens, hit the ball well (better than in r1 actually) but alot of my putts missed by an inch. usually from between 10 and +-15 feet. Well one to go, good round should still give me hopes for top 10.

Currently sitting comfortable above the cutline at -10, but has the makings of one of those weeks where you slowly watch that trickle slowly into the not so comfortable territory.

Looking like I will make my first cut of the season! Played really well in both rounds and was cruising along in R2 at -8 until an incredibly dumb 5 putt triple bogey on 16 derailed a really good round. Still happy with -7, -6 start.

Looks like I also made my first cut of the season (and can now ditch the MC Hammer avatar once it's official).

of course I've waited until the last minute to get my rounds in- and I have my company Holiday party this afternoon. There will be a decision to be made tonight- Drunk last minute rounds or skip this week?

There will be a decision to be made tonight- Drunk last minute rounds or skip this week? Depends if you want to have some influence on me and the rest of us -10ers having to play rounds 3 and 4 or not. Currently in a large group tied for 65th. It's kind of fun sitting here riding the cutline waiting to see how things shake out. And for the record, I'm totally indifferent to playing the last two rounds or not so I personally won't hold a grudge against whatever you decide. Can't speak for the rest of the group though.

A little surprisingly -11 is well and truly safe so went ahead and finished up last two rounds ( boffo go ahead and finish up, the -10's should make it; rd 4 is a nostalgia trip back to the old TGC 1 days of firm and fast and landing approaches well short of the green to roll on up to the pin). Swing inconsistency that started in the last week or so still there; I'm never sure whether I'll be P, S or F on back and down swings (at lease not VS, VF at this stage) or which side of the blue bar I'll be on. Then just when I think I've totally lost it I somehow hit a P/P striped down the middle of the blue bar, no idea how. Left myself with a lot of 15ft+ putts for birdie in rd 3, hardly made any, finished at 67 (-5). Rd 4 with the VF/VF/VF conditions and VH winds, actually got so used to these in TGC1 that I generally play ok in them, finished up with a 70 (-2) again with many missed putts. BTW great final rd by our scheduler Dan ( hmammoth), saw him way out in front on PS4 leaderboard with a -11, excellent scoring in those conditions, was going to load up his ghost for my round but realised I'd never match that and just get frustrated so I didn't. Good luck to those yet to play / finish.

There are still a couple of people yet to play their last two rounds that I think will knock me off the top but it will be my highest finish in about a year.

Really hate playing in very high winds, doesn't feel like the same game at all when a PW is turning 40 yards left or right. Made the cut at -13 then missed 3 easy putts in R3 on the way to a -6 and then a +2 in R4. Finshed at -16. A meh week after missing the cut last week, I was swinging pretty well until R4 and the wind began to frustrate me. Would much prefer the course be tough itself without needing arcade style wind.

First of all with this post I join the illustrious 3000 post club. I'd like to dedicate this post to the memory of wagtunes. If it wasn't for his buffoonery and the need to call him out on every moronic thing he said I would only have half this many posts. Otherwise I owe it to my perseverance these last two-and-a-half plus years in either thinking that any of you had any interest in what I had to say or knowing you didn't and just not caring. Now, also in memory of wagtunes I can take advantage of this nice round number and quit this site forever. So long losers!!!
Oh wait. I squeezed in under the cutline and unexpectedly have to play two more rounds? Looks like I'm back already. Hello losers!!! Maybe it'll work out better to leave forever again at post 4000.
