Definitely worth a play. Tom Rausch (GrumpyOldMan) is improving as a designer with every course he's creating & this revamp is a good example. I liked the default lighting as it gave an eerie "ghostown" atmosphere to the plot. Both the old abandoned mine behind #4 & the ruins at the back of #15 are clever & creative as was the sunken building to create the clubhouse. Good sparse use of planting although there were a tad too many unnatural placed trees used to obstruct the sight lines & occasionally block an approach shot or off the tees into crosswinds (#10 & #16 best examples Tom). I played from the tips & was disappointed none of the par 5's were reachable in 2 to give the chance of an eagle but I still finished 5 under par in medium winds so happy with that. In conclusion: A good interesting course but a little "tricked up" in places.

Really enjoyed my round on this one. Gorgeous course, and absolutely loved how it plays around the ruins of Deadwood, complete with deteriorating buildings from the 19th century and abandoned mines. Very challenging, but obviously designed for those with Master clubs (and Pro); the Par 5's were looong even by Master standards, for example. Lots of thought went into this course, and golfers that don't plan their shots strategically will pay the price. I faved and am going to be playing this one again and again. Absolutely loved it.

Gave this one a run last night. Very cool course! It has a very unique and eerie feel to it and the environment is very immersive. Definitely seemed like a golf course in an old ghost town. Most of the negative things I noticed about the course have already been mentioned by Simon... all though he must have been using pro clubs or had unfortunate wind because I was able to reach a par 5 in 2 shots with Masters from the tips... may have reached a couple of them in 2 actually but I don't remember.
The greens were okay but not my favorite. On pin set 1 I had a few putts that were completely flat and others that were steep side-hillers from 6 feet away. Some of the undulations just seemed a bit choppy to me. It's just my opinion but I would have liked to see the areas around some of the pins smoothed out a bit.
Overall I always enjoy playing your courses Tom because you are very good at finding creative uses for objects and this one did not disappoint! I had a very enjoyable round and I encourage everyone to go check it out.
