Tempo isn't normally a problem for me but the swing plane is usually all over the place. Occasionally I get a round or 9 holes where I'm fairly consistent with hitting slightly left, which I can cope with, but then something changes and it's all over the place again. Tried all sorts of different ways of holding the control pad and positioning myself in my chair but nothing seems to work for more than a couple of shots. My swings vary hugely - if I don't move the stick quickly and risk a fast downswing then I often end up with a bizarre inverted '3' shape which seems completely impossible, or a swing which is straight all the way until the very top when it goes left at a 90 degree angle across the top of the meter. It's actually quite frustrating that no matter how much I play this game the swing aspect isn't any better than it was when I first started and the only improvement has come in judging the wind, slopes etc. Generally my rounds are usually determined by how good my putting eye is - the rest is a lottery. I have that stupid ass 90* sh%$ myself from time to time. It just appears and then comes and goes. I also think it is somehow tied to tempo no matter what anyone says. My plane is straighter on a F/P than a P/P usually. However, I've adjusted to play my normal little pull. I never worry about hitting one right. They still find a way in maybe once every 30-40 full swings, but never in the back of my mind as being "worried" about it. I kind of changed how I grip the controller and move my thumb. I just have to feel like my thumb "slides" on the stick. Literally. Slides down and then back up. It has helped me plane quite a bit and now my shots have a tighter dispersion. May seem strange at first, but give it a go. What'll it hurt?
