What I mean by "comfortable" is if you took ten swings, would you know pretty much how your swing will turn out seven or eight times out of ten?
The game has been driving me crazy since I first got it as I can't get comfortable with the swing at all. Last game it took me about a month but I got my swing locked in and knew pretty much how my swing would turn out every time I took a swing. Not so in this game as I can't seem to find a way to consistently hit a draw or a fade, every time I swing I have no idea if it's going to be a draw or a fade and it seems there is no rhyme or reason for this. I mean this independent of tempo, I just mean the end result of your swing lines going left or right.
Tempo is another issue that is causing me problems as the tempo has changed from TGC 2 and it keeps catching me out as I sometimes get a slow back swing that I have no idea what caused it as I am sure my transfer was identical to other swings that had no problem.
All this is causing me to change swing technique tournament to tournament to try and find something that works. All this is in fact doing is causing me to miss cut after cut and really frustrating me with the game.
So if you are comfortable with your swing, how did you achieve it? Lot's of repetition or a lot of tinkering? Would be interested to see how other players came about their swing and achieve consistency from it.

7 out of 10, Pretty much either P/P, F/P, or P/F.
I do think Tempo is decent, and can usually tell if I miss hit, but the times I can't tell, the other 3 swings, usually happen around water unfortunately. Which generally have a VF or VS on either side..
I find that I swing worse if I don't pay attention to the on screen character movement.
IMO, tempo sensitivity may be on the high side as many times I'll have a slight mark to the right at the top of the swing arc, even if it's a perfect...

Absolutely not lately.
I was playing pretty good a couple weeks ago and now my game is shiiiiiiit. I play off perfect fast or fast fast so I have to be on point. My biggest problem is distance control on approach shots and the pitch shot. I am air mailing greens left and right and pitch shots are a total crap more than not. I am going to just blame the Xbox swing for my issues though.
I wanted to uninstall the game last night after another crap round but I will stick with it. I have a love for this game we call golf which leads to so much pain and misery.

My swing is a disaster right now. I'm getting the tempo down better. I had only 1 VF downswing in 2 rounds of tour play so far. The negative by-product of that is, I'm getting far too many S/P and S/F swings. The worst swings seem to be with short irons. Maybe the adrenaline of being in the FW with a PW or 9-iron is getting to me. Chipping and putting are still hit or miss. I overread just about every putt, and the tempo with the short shots is pretty inconsistent.
Right now, my game is like this: I'll play most of a course at +2 and have 6 birds in a row in the middle. Very frustrating.

If real life was what they were going for in this game, then they nailed it in simulation form.

Tempo is usually no issue i know when im fast or slow etc.
My issue is the lines straightness, mine is always to the right at the top, sometimes looks like a backwards 3 and is generally terrible.
I watch streams and see perfectly straight swings and i have no idea how they do it.
I use the default PS4 controller on PS4, am i missing something everyone knows?

Just played 18 holes on CC Fe'rs and did not have ANY perfect/perfect swings. All my swings were fast/ slow, slow/ fast. fast/ fast. etc I had to keep a tight grip on my controller, otherwise it would have ended up in the bin lol Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

I’m comfortable with tempo I just struggle with the damn line. Feels like I’m in kindergarten again! Is there a way to keep tempo feedback on and the line off? I feel it messes me up more trying to correct it. Rather not see it.

I have actually noticed that my flight/direction has improved immensely after switching the feedback to off. Seriously. It's wonderful. Like, I know what a F/P or F/F feel like and can more or less do them whenever I want. I always watch the character on the screen and it feels SO much better/different. I still can't putt for @!$#, but I'm liking the progress of my swing.

Really make the feel part of the game come alive.

Not especially comfortable at all. Barely used master clubs at all prior to Q-School, somehow qualified on Web, and look likely to go 3 for 3 in cuts made but I have no idea how. After being consistently just right of centre in TGC1 and consistently right edge of the cone in TGC2 I'm actually closer to centre in 2019 than either of the first two but the consistency is gone. My tempo is decent enough most of the time so I rarely have issues off the tee but with approach shots now possibly going right or left instead of always right like the old days I haven't been seeing a lot of short birdie putts. That being said I'm totally fine treading water in the middle of the Web pack each week while I get used to these things and try to refind that consistency.

Note - I’m on XBox, play Master clubs. Euro tour.
I’m lucky to get 50% p/p. No problem keeping the line fairly straight, but I seem to always be f/p, or p/f. Because I’m aiming a little short right to allow for it, slows kill me. It’s the 3 or 4 very fasts per round that seem to come out of nowhere that frustrate me most. Tempo is particularly tough for me on pitches and flops, so I leave myself 100 to the green rather than pitching like I’ve done in TGC1 and 2. Have been working on 90% pitches, the tempo window is massively wider if you hit below 100%
When I play well I shoot anywhere up to -10, when I struggle it’s around even par. Haven’t looked like shooting in the 50’s. I would like to see everyone’s tempo like it is on XBox
Edit - when I pull the stick back, it feels like I get straighter swings when I pull it back to 5.30 and push it back to 11.30 (imagining it on a clock face). Gets me a nice straight line just left of centre that works kinda like a power pull and seems to go a little further 👍
