That's a shame. Sad loss for the community. My condolences to those affected.

Very sad news. Echoing what others have said, I didn't interact with Tim directly, but he always struck me as one of the more positive members of the community. A real loss.

Only just seen this.
Shiit, life is just awful sometimes.
Always had a good conversation with Tim on the forums, and despite his well known worries he continued to be himself.
So sad, RIP indeed Tim, and rip some straight ones down those heavenly fairways fella.
Definitely agree with some memorial tournaments in honour.

R.I.P. Tim ( DivotMaker). A Memorial event seems appropriate for someone who contributed a lot, so positively, to the TGCT community. Maybe we could have the Divotmaker Classic played on all Tours.

Shocked is how I felt when I saw this thread.
Anyone who has played Links, the TW series and this game knew of DivotMaker.
A bigger advocate for golf sim....I'm not sure I know of any.
Condolences to his family.
I agree with retiring his gamer tag and memorial events across all tours.

Tim lost his battle with cancer. Thanks to JC for posting the link below on the HB forums.I had a feeling he might have passed . Had not heard from him in a while or seen him on Xbox. Last I heard from him he was going back in for chemo.i had a bad feeling. m.legacy.com/obituaries/houstonchronicle/obituary.aspx?n=&pid=190703312&referrer=0&preview=TrueI have known Tim for a long time going back to the Tiger forums. Lost a good friend and playing partner. He always had great input for simulation golf and was a hell of a player even when fighting cancer. Sim golf has lost a great advocate and more importantly we lost a great person. Tim was solid as they get. No bullshit with Tim. He will be missed. RIP. Be nice if TGC tours honored him by naming a week of tournaments after him. Sorry to see this. I've also known Tim since way back in EA's Tiger forums. Tim was a good guy, always enjoyed chatted with him. RIP my friend, he will be missed for sure. Totally agree on having a week of tourneys in his honor.

Terrible news.....Tim will be missed. Anything that can be done in honor of him and his name would be the least we could do.This news is nothing less then depressing. Thoughts and prayers to his family.

I was playing TST today and couldn't stop thinking about Tim. We had a lot conversations about sim and 4K on Xbox. I still can't believe he lost to cancer. If anyone could beat it he would. I was looking at my fl today . F**k.
Not a fan of the human race. Tim was a good one.

He punted me off last night, I didn’t even get mad. We had quite a few chats about our shared experience with Cancer. It’s an evil disease 🙁 Will be treating his tournament like a major each year.

Wow, really puts things into perspective. Didn’t know Tim, but by the number of posts talking up his character you don’t need to have known him to understand he was a top bloke.
RIP Tim, a memorial tournament is certainly a perfect and fitting send off.
See you in the next life buddy 😢
