Hey Thanks. I would say Pine Valley is my biggest inspiration on this one. Although it’s really just a starting point. I really want to create an secluded and enclosed feel to the course but open up views across the course. The routing is really tight so there should be some cool moments out there. I’ve roughed out about 6 holes so far....always my favourite part of the process. I’m thinking it won’t be as wild and undulating as some of the modern dunes courses. A bit restrained....a bit manicured in places. These are just the thoughts in my head right now. Just started and having fun with the concept....long way to go! Wow, this is looking very strong! You kidding me, there is some great work out there right now, including your work (although I have yet to play Hoylake... #1 on my list to play right now, looks amazing). I’m loving the discussions on the boards and the passion for the architecture right now. There’s some great new talent and the courses are getting better and better. I’m just hoping to make courses that are fun and perhaps contribute a bit to the diologue in the community. Stop being so good at this and give the rest of us a chance!

I guess I would say Pine Valley is a decent course to use as inspiration hahaha I was actually there in September watching the Crump Cup and it was even better than I could have ever imagined. It has everything you want on a great golf course: sand and natural areas, wide fairways and playing corridors, and probably the most amazing greens I have ever seen. I walked on almost every tee box, fairway, and green while we were there and I would say you're overall look and feel is looking good. Excited to keep an eye on this one. Also, if you can ever make it to PV for the Crump Cup, YOU WONT REGRET IT!

Oh man. What I wouldn’t do to get to PV. It would be a bit of a treck for me but maybe I could tie it into another trip...do you need tickets for the crump cup? On the bucket list. We’ll see how this course evolves, might feel like pine valley in the end. Might not. Just going with what’s in my head right now. Hey Thanks. PV was jaw dropping. You need to go! You don’t need tickets, only $25 to park. It’s only open to the public on Sunday afternoon for the final match. You can walk literally anywhere on the course and see anything you want. Me, my brother, and a friend went and instantly decided we’re going every year to watch. It helps we only live about 3.5 hours away but getting there even once is so unbelievably worth it!

I watched parts of two matches and I think I saw two people birdie #11 and that was it. Every other hole was won with a par.

Looks stunning. Clean but slightly rugged at the same time. Big fan of how you've used a majority of green tree's and mixed in a few coloured ones too. Gives it that early autumn look that we rarely get in this game. This is also a welcome style of course as we don't have a Pine Valley, yet.
