Can you be demoted from your current tour if you place poorly, or is this for promotional purposes only? I'd like to play the event, but I'm already on PGA. This^ I’m in Euro, if I do poor would I be removed from my tour? Or I can only promote if I play well?

If you play well, you can promote up, if you play bad, you just stay in your current tour. I'm not sure about PGA players. I would assume like any other society, you can play the rounds, but your score just wouldn't show up on the leaderboard?? That's a question for Doyley..

Oh fun. I'm sure we'll find Very High winds and very firm greens to boot. Good luck to all, especially those that navigate through this quagmire to reach the top 5.

Not that this affects me, but what happens to your promotion/demotion marks if you move up flights, do they get reset to zero?

PGA players aren't registered in the event - so their scores won't show up on our leaderboards here.

I assume you have to finish under par to be part of promotion spots?
PS: I had a practice yesterday and some narrow fairways so will have to concentrate .. practice was -1 after 18 holes (I’m CC-G)

We need to have enough people promote/participate so the current number we're considering is 10-over par for the event will be the cutoff point that can get earn you a promotion.

Watching GDog stream. Looks like PC is showing wind speed but PS4 isn't?

I added the spoiler thread to the PGA forum since it is technically listed under there. That way we can discuss results there and queries of any/all promotion events here. Is the wind not showing or not BLOWING? Big difference. If there is supposed to be a 20 mph wind but it is 0, that is different if it is actually blowing 20mph but showing 0. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/17965/tgct-promotion-event-2-spoilers

I don't find the course too difficult.. However the hazard placement is ridiculous. Good thing you can f/f over it all every time!
