No. We'll restart with clean sheets and no massive q-school. Has that been said anywhere? The clean sheets aspect, not bothered about q-school. I expect to have 4 promotion marks after this week. It is only penalising to remove those for the new season, especially where we commence the season in the flight we finished in. Not much point in ending a season then if all promo/demo marks stick around. Would just be an extension of the previous season at that point.

I'd like to see it all port across otherwise many just wouldn't play this week.
Imagine if you were on 3 or 4 demotions, why play if there was a risk of demotion knowing it'll all be cleared from next week onwards.
For people looking at promotion, it would benefit if the tours were less populated.
I guess depends why you play...

Hey guys, just wanted to chime in and report that I'm currently at -21, -12 and -9, after the first two rounds. The second round was a bunker bonanza for me, but luckily, I could save myself from time to time.

Just went round in 58 shots in round 3, my lowest round of the season. Included this beauty on the 14th:

"what it could be.." Probably at the end of the tournament this will be my feeling, if everything should continue as in the first round. -11 and so much regrets..4 easy putts for birdie from 2-3 meters wasted..a sad classic. Considering that I have nothing to lose (or to win, if I play in this way) I'll probably play all my four rounds between tonight and tomorrow. I wish to dedicate some more time to my duty as a ranger, to help schedulers in their work for the new season..and to my lists. Terry Grayson hats off, your course is a(nother) real gem. It gives some good prize if you play well, it punishes if your golf is doubtful..or if you're a greedy one. But above all, is a good opportunity to tell you that you and the Dam are a great part of this community, your work and passion helped and still helps a lot of designers to improve. Your contribution is priceless. Then the least I can do is to show, humbly, my middle finger to all of you, as a little sign of the respect all of you deserve. Always. Like the Primus and the good old Les Claypool teach us, you sucks!!!

What a strange season for Victor Lane! He began on Web with master clubs after the opening q-school, but made only 30% of the cuts in the first half of the year, leading him to take a break from the tours by turning in his card and heading to the Beginner Club Tour. He had a great time partying there with Darryl A. Montgomery and others for a few months, and after saving up his winnings to buy his own RV, he decided to go back to q-school to end season 5 so that he could reset his career in the pro ranks. He’s finding pro clubs to be a fun balance right now, and came out of q-school in CC-B just in time to make a stop at Kraken’s Revenge, where he has a comped room at the resort due to his consultation work with course designer Terry Grayson. Hopefully the familiarity and good vibes lead to decent scores to end the year and pop back into the WGR. He’s really looking forward to battling cephyn and other rivals for the CC-B money list crown in season 6!

Nice one ffrog! I was in between clubs every time on that hole! Same here, I was standing on that Tee at -8 in the 2nd round having dropped my first shot in those 2 rounds at the previous hole, thinking 3 iron or 5 iron as I don't carry a 4, so I took the 5 and went straight into the water and ended up walking away with a 6 I went from looking at a nice sub 60 58 or 59 to scraping a 63 but thats why I love this game, it's realistic in the way you can be going along real nice and then boom one wrong move and your excellent round is turned into an ordinary one, great course though.

Can totally see the merit in your argument. Just that the promotion marks affect no one but myself and i have had to work hard to get the three i have. Erasing them and having to recommence earning them only affects me and no one else and thus i think is penalising. I will of course accept whatever is the case.

Glorious -6 in second round 👀 The trademark of the champ, little to say. Funny that my proximity to the hole was better than in first round (7,9 meters..that with no reachable par 5, with pro clubs, is something). Probably I was simply almost always on the wrong side of the pin. Details. And this game IS, about details. Has been an interesting test, anyway, cause I played this round without to do my usual practice round before. Even considering a pair of putts I could easily play better, in every case is clear for me that practicing a pin is really useful for me to gain those 2-4 strokes that can make the difference. Anyway..tournament is gone, but is a good starting point for the next season. Good luck to anyone

It was a nice 5 iron for me, just added a smidge of loft. Would normally have played safe and aimed a bit to the left of the pin, but my swing felt good so i went right at it. Will probably stick it in the water in R4!

Added another -9 and then a very disappointing -4 with almost back-to-back double bogeys on the 14th and 16th holes. Bad club selection propelled me into some steep heavy rough both times. Thus, I'll join joebloggs by ending the season at 4 promo marks. Since to me it doesn't really matter where I play, I'll also accept whatever is decided concerning these marks. It has been fun to play a whole season here in CC-B with you guys! In particular I'd like to thank cephyn for getting me to keep an eye on the money list and to hole-in-one specialist ffrog for being an awesome teammate in the CC-A vs CC-B clash organised by Celtic Wolf. Have a good off-season!

To me it makes sense to start the season with a clean slate though I do have a lot of sympathy for those who were so near yet so far. Best tourney for me since I arrived CC-B this week. Perhaps more relaxed without the threat of demotion!! 😂 Finished on -38 but could have been much better. Round 3’s -5 ensuring I’m nearer to middle than top no doubt. Can never attain consistency, I suppose that’s what separates the good players from us also rans. Looking forward to the new season and seeing how long I can survive in CC-B. That will be a challenge in itself!!!
