crunchshark Chalkey CongoGB davieboy321 SAM Hunter B TimB Ashton Fox Crazy Croc beercarthero Looks like we might have a match against the Bears, possibly in week 18. Everyone up for that and available that week? Have I missed anyone out? Is anyone else interested? No need to answer, those tagged just like this post and I'll take that as an affirmative. Anyone else apply below.. Celtic Wolf I don't think we'll have a problem getting 10 at the least, as long as they don't mind mingling with your rabble for a week.. Will be great for you guys to try out against superior opponents

I’d be in for the A-team if a spot is available.

Slow start to the "Me love you long time" Open at Aristida Dunes Club (my tip to win the World Cup Of Design contest). Opened with a disappointing -5 but swiftly followed by a battling -9 to leave me 14 under through 36. I always, always have a disaster round so if that 1st round was it (hopefully) I should avoid any demotion mark worries & go from perpetual mediocrity CC-C to more of the same, mixing it with the A-Listers.
Gonna watch this Thursday night..............
Before teeing it up for rounds 3 & 4 Friday..... Good luck y'all.

I'll follow SAM's lead and get back on topic. My first tournament back at this level has been largely underwhelming. After that half decent first round of 63 I played the next 27 holes last night. I started round 2 quite well but then had some real tempo issues even with the Pro clubs and managed to compound that by putting like a bonehead. Honestly, that short par 4 8th I hit a perfect drive and managed to bogey it from just off the green. I could have let my kids play and they'd have done better than that! Somehow scraped a 66 to sit at -15 after 2. 3rd round started much the same (although this time managed to spectacularly par the 8th after another perfect drive!) and I called it a night at -2 at the turn. Played the back 9 this morning, missed an absolute sitter for birdie at 10 but after that much better to end with a 65. 63, 66, 65 for -22 after 3, will play round 4 after work tonight. Mid table mediocrity beckons!

R1 -8 Hit the ball well, but 29 putts woof! R2 -7 Was +1 after 6 but finished the front birdie-eagle-birdie to get it to -3 at the turn. 4 birdies and no bogeys on the back. Not horrible considering I only hit 10 GIR. 6/8 scrambling ain't too bad. R3 -2 through 3 (I think)

I can sense your frustration with the putter, Jamie, I've been starting to struggle with that flat stick for a couple of weeks now too. Just cannot read them properly anymore.

I've got 6 signed up and still waiting to hear from another 6. So how do you want to do this 4 rounds over 2 weeks, 2 team and 2 single rounds, 1 week made up of single or team matches. Any ideas?

I thought the Ryder Cup format worked really well, all done on one week. I could help with the scoring?

Round 4 done. Had another slow start (with the exception of round 2 a bit of a trend), one birdie, one bogey, four pars for E after 6. From there played really nicely, hit a couple of lovely fades and draws, used some of the slopes to get in close and holed a few putts. It's not always the birdies that get you going. I birdied 7,8,9 to get to -3 but then got in trouble at 10 and had a tricky 15 footer for par. That one got a fist pump! Loved the way the course played in the very firm and fast, with no wind that was an absolute treat! Course was superb in all conditions to be fair. Anyway 63, 66, 65, 64 for a -30 total. I would guess in the 60th-80th range? Solid enough but nowhere near good enough to challenge for a top 20. Really lost it the other night when I played so poorly in round 2 and the front 9 of round 3. Still, quite enjoyed that

Played like stevie wonder. Will i still make the team skipper?
