Yeah not bad for an amateur. Playing like Hovland out there.

I shot out of the gates at -5 thru 8. Then missed a very short birdie at 9 and 10 and seemed like I lost all momentum. Finished at a whopping -6 after 1st rd. Frustrated because it could and should have been a -10 or better. Grrrrr! I dig the course though. Tricky greens.

I'm done, wasted opportunity for me after that first round. Second round I was battling the tempo for the first 12 holes but managed to scramble well and saved the round by reeling off 6 birdies in a row to close out. Third round I got my swing back but the putter went cold on these tricky greens. Then fourth round, I had a really good one going on the very firm and fast. -10 standing on the short par 4 16th tee with thoughts of breaking 60 again. A VF on that one resulted in a par 4, a slow on 17 followed by a VS flop out of the bunker for a bogey 4 and then 18 I don't know what happened? Hit what I thought was a perfect approach only for it to go inexplicably right and end up in the water, bogey 6. Frustrating, but been a good week overall. Those last 3 holes will cost me 4/5 shots to the field and probably cost me winning back the green tick I lost last week. 59, 63, 64, 64 for -38 Great course as you'd expect from a top designer. See you next week

Round 2 tonight!
Ghosts
Looney_Tunes -16 jlevans10 -14
A 1 above / 1 below pairing. Can't wait to go Brooks Koepka on their asses.
I'm also thinking about doing my own version of sportscenter on the CC-A tour on YouTube. The only problem is the time it would take to copy ghost highlights, research stats, write a sports script, and would only be limited to ps4. Unless I had a team sending me highlights from other platforms. I'd put in the time and effort for all the rest.
But how cool would it be? The best. (Dreaming)

Love this week's course, but find it challenging. Seems like I'm in the minority based on the leaderboards though; folks are tearing it up.
I was worried about getting promoted to Web a couple of weeks ago. No longer!

Cleared all my red marks 2 weeks ago then didn't have time to finish last weeks tournament so I'm back to working on clearing them again.
-7 first round. couldn't get any putts to drop outside of a 49' bomb on #10. I did have back-to-back eagles on 6 and 7, but nothing else note worthy.
The course is fun and I thought challenging, but like Fluff said, it seems we are in the minority looking at the leaderboard.

Well...I battled through a lot of lag on this course
-8 -5 -9 -9
-31 total with Masters
Doubt that will get me anywhere near the top 40 or 50

Managed to string 4 consistent rounds together for once. Back to back -8's for final 2 rounds making an event total of 30 under par. Won't be causing the leaders any worries but shouldn't need to be looking over my shoulder either.

I trashed it up in rd 2. Noooo!
Looney_Tunes hasn't played rd 2 so I had to go heads up with jlevans10. JL started just a bit slow. Missing 2 makeable birdie putts. After that he went on a tear and only slowed down a little after 9. Most of his approaches gave him a chance for birdie. He even hit a 30+ ft putt. Topped off with an eagle on 18. Congrats.
I started my session later than normal. 3 hours later in fact. Priorities. Maybe the golf gods were trying to stop me. After 5 holes I was thinking I should just stop. But I couldn't. I have this com-plex about making sure my rounds are in when the leaderboard updates throughout the week. So I forced it. I hit 4-5 fast downswings. All my fault. I also mis-calculated distance on a hole like an amateur. Instead of uphill math I went downhill math and came up way short of the green. Yelled at my caddy for that one. Like Jordan Spieth in the US Open.
Mentally, I wasn't ready but I forced it. And I paid the price. Rds 1 & 2 for me were like night and day. Best to worst. I know what I can do when I'm on (rd 1 -15) and when I'm off (rd 2 -8). Usually I'm somewhere in between those scores consistently.
Shout out to travistock7 for shooting a 57 in rd 2. Thats from a 67 in the first. A similar night and day picture.
How am I still in the top 10? Ridiculous. Figured I'd wake up to see my name tied for like 33rd. I'll take it though.
