Well guys, see you all next week. Couldn't buy a swing for the whole two first rounds. Probably will finish last, but hey, it's the first tourney, I'm sure I can do it even worst I'm right there with you Pablo. Some courses fit the eye, and some don't. This one didn't for me. Not blaming the course, but wherever there was a difficult shot to pull off, I pretty much went the wrong direction. -7 after 2 rounds. Will miss the cut by a mile. On the bright side, I will only have 1 demotion mark instead of 2 strikes after this week

I went +2 and -2 for a score of E at the cut. I venture to say it was by far my worst ever TGCT tourney. If anyone wants to see a scorecard where the swing feels good for 4-5 holes and then goes to sh&&, check out my round 1 scorecard. It will be easy to find, it's the last name on the leaderboard
I must say, it's baffling to me. I go from being pretty consistent and birding 3 of the first 6 holes to.....fast to VF to slow to VF to slow to fast. It seems there's nothing you can do about it. I could have stopped playing, but instead I just decided to accept the terrible finish and get the two rounds out of the way. Oh ya, my putting was bad as well....
See you all next week. Good luck to the rest of you.

Appalling Rd 1 for me. Lots of fast swings and little continuity with iron play. I think I was T2 on this course for a tourney (TGC2) on the World Tour.

Thoughts on where cut line will end up? I'm now -11 through 2.
Round 2 scored better (-7) but a lot more adventurous and could have gone south easily. I already posted my summary of round one which is basically fairways and greens, 2 putts. Lots of pars for a frustratingly boring -4.
I was scrambling a lot more in round 2, the wind was a lot stronger and I mixed in a few more iffy swings. It was the tale of two holes. Easy birdie (or eagle) or really scrambling for par. Thankfully I was mostly successful on par scrambles. Holed an 18 footer on 18 to save par.
The fairways on this course are quite thin and sloped and it felt like every hole was the opposite wind direction that you would want given the fairway slope direction and pin location. I found myself having to add quite a bit of fade/draw to work around trees that were keeping me from just letting the wind do its thing, even from the fairway. Right off the top doing that tightens the swing line and quite frankly is just difficult to judge with a high degree of accuracy just what the wind vs fade/draw offset will be. Oh yeah, the severely sloped lie, too. Why not? Not a complaint lol, this course with high winds just makes you factor in just about everything on just about every shot. No rest for the wicked.
Quite happy to have put up a -7, eagle on par 5 17th helped. Left a lot out there in round 1 at -4, felt pretty happy with -7 on what I thought was a more difficult challenge. I certainly have a lot of work to do adapting to the lack of having the wind mph number. I have to go back to Links LS to point out the last golf game I played with just a meter and not a mph number for me to do math with. I feel like I can estimate a number pretty well just based on memory but I know it's not exact and that's messing with my confidence as much as anything else.

In with -14 at the cut and -30 total for 4 rounds. Played pretty solid with only a couple bogies I think, but missed pretty much every birdie putt that would've gained another stroke on the field by an inch or left it right on the lip. Guess it was just one of those tournaments where you don't quite get into top gear. Overall, can't be too displeased with where my game is at right now. A nice, boring start is refreshing after the drama of missing the PGA by one effing stroke. Had my right foot in, my left foot out, now I'm on the Euro Tour to shake it all about.

-7 -8 -8 -5
-29
My swing was off in the last round. But the wind was pretty strong and the pin positions weren't easy. So i hope that i don't lose that much on the middle of the pack.
Maybe a Top 40 finish?

I think the cut could be as low as -11 or even -10. Depends on how many more play. -5 is T60 thru 1, and round 2 seemed harder.
Not gonna help me at -8, I’ll need a miracle.

-10 through two and a probable missed cut. Had some bull**** fast downswings in my second round that cost me a number of shots.

Lovely course - always liked this one. It didn't like me back much tho, and a -3 & -6 will leave me well outside the cut line and with the first demotion kiss 💋 The combine national debt of all 50 European countries wouldn't have been enough to purchase a putt for me this week...
Still not all bad... beat Ray the dirty sweeper... so I got that going for me, which is nice.

I didn't play last version, so have just a couple of questions. Do I need to register for the events still, or just join the society and play? Do I have to post scores? And when is the deadline for the first two rounds?
Thanks in advance 😎

And when is the deadline for the first two rounds? Thanks in advance 😎 There is no more registration or reporting of scores. It is all automated now. If you are registered on the main site (you should be if you have a card and are on a tour), then just play your rounds and they will populate within an hour or so at tgctours.
Deadline on Euro for first two rounds is Thursday at 11:59:59 PM Eastern time. Should be 9 your time, Todd. Given the clock went back it may be an hour off one way or the other. All four due at some early in the a.m. hour on Sunday (like 2 a.m. maybe?) Eastern time... so maybe 11 PM your time late Saturday night.
Good to see you around again, Todd!
There used to be a countdown clock on the main site for deadlines. Maybe that is being worked on?! What say you, Tim ?
