Played my first round and I'm just going to take the double strike. This course is a flat out joke. I don't know if the designer is a friend of the course selector or how this game to be placed on the tour, but it's not a fun course to play and looks worse than most autogens. Look at the current rookie design contests and you'll see almost all of them light years ahead of this course.

I think I'll be last, if not close to it in the rookie design contest and I think mine is better. It might not be super clean but the lay out ideas are better. Well, if I don't say so myself. :-)

This is course, steamshovel golf club is bush league lol. Looks like it was designed by a4 year old. That aside, does anyone else dislike the people on the course? I feel like it really takes away from the beauty of some of these courses This is not a tour-worthy course. I don't know how it made it through. glad im not the only one!

I actually really like Steamshovel. It's an RCR-Inspired course based on western Pennsylvania Charles Banks designs like Pittsburgh Field Club and Fox Chapel Golf Club. Charles Banks was an associate of the esteemed Seth Raynor.
The course plays deceptively tough with a clean look typical of the MacRaynor style. I realize this design style might not be for everyone, but it won't be every week.

It's just not my style. But to be honest there are real life courses I have paid to play on and they are way worse! Anyone ever play on sand greens before? :-)

That is fair. We aren't expecting everyone to like every course we schedule. That isn't realistic. You are free to dislike a course for any reason.

What bother me are the comments that a particular course "is bush league" and "is a flat out joke" and the insinuation that it was selected solely because the designer happens to be friends with the schedulers (he isn't, at least to my knowledge).

The course doesn’t play tonight at all. I’m -24 after 2 rounds and was -1 after the first 9 holes making me -23 for the last 27 and I’m not great at this game. The winner this week will likely be -60 which is the ideal to have CCAM players improve.
I think for week 2 of a brand new exciting season I something a bit more imaginative and exciting could have been chosen. It’s a very flat track that reminds me of a longer manor. Just my 2c

Any idea why CJ Stanley is tearing it up in CC-E after playing last week in CC-G and placing to get a demotion mark?

-19 (52) leading the way. I dont really know what to say Sorry! First time trying out Beginner clubs, apparently they are as easy as advertised. Being on XB1, I feel like playing with beginner clubs is probably how PS4 players feel using Masters.

I got an email this morning saying I was to good for CC-G so they were moving me up? I switched to Pro clubs after 3 rounds using masters last week and shot a 10 under in the final round for a total of -4. Not sure if it was a bug email or if they are really moving me up

I just can’t putt which is why I’m not ripping it up although -31 for 3 is ok but won’t be anywhere near the top. If beginner clubs can shoot 52, i dont really have words tbh.

Finished -39.
About 20 behind the winner I think. On to next week!
