I am calling BS on this..... my 3rd round score was all me, missed putts, burned the lip of the cup the whole round. My 4th round score "F" that! I had 8..... yes 8 very fast down swing or very slow down swings! I am not that f-ing bad to have that happen! I was in so much crap it was ridiculous! I didn't have a VF or VS downswing in any of my first 3 round. How the hell does the game change so drastically??? If I had more middle fingers I would use them. Rd 1 (-7) Rd 2 (-9) Rd 3 (-3) Rd 4 (E) I has a right old struggle this week. Missed puts all over and a 3 putt from six feet!!! Really struggled on the tempo. No idea why. Perhaps I'm taking it too seriously in desperately trying to sneak into the top 20! Middle of the pack if I'm lucky this week!

Screwed myself again this week, 3 weeks running I've left so many putts out there. Tempo went to pot yet again, my fault. Dropped to Pro for R3&4 to try and regain some calmness after I took a RAGE driver off the deck out of a bunker due to the tempo with Masters!
-18 for the week, not a chance of Top 20 - these 5 promotion points are gonna be a killer!

Yes! Getting 5 points will be very difficult indeed! But the "Fast Track" promotion seems a bit wonky. I don't really get how it works. There was a CC-E player who was promoted after only playing in one event! It seems that to be "Fast Tracked" you need only to be under the baseline (-31) for this week. Not sure how they determine this number as they haven't given out any formula. I am not mad about it just my observation. This is from Doyley: This is based off a Standard deviation calculation on the entire field - anyone that shoots better than this number will be auto-promoted.
Fast Track baselines this week:
CC-Z: 17-under or better
CC-G: 24-under or better
CC-F: 28-under or better
CC-E: 31-under or better
Note: we don't have a good way of displaying this for now - until we add an icon or cutline bar - the best way to tell who was Fast Tracked is to check the top of a CC-Am leaderboard on Sunday after a finalization and see who has no promotion/demotion marks.

Yeah I thought that the Promotion Event would be my chance to jump up but screwed the pooch on that, highly doubt I'll get to -31 scores the way I'm playing.
Mid -20's is about my average, only 3 more Top 20's to go...how long until TGC 202 with a new Q-School again?

Well shoot. I was unable to play all 4 rounds earlier this week, so I went to play now and the patch updated. Uh oh...

Had a really good go this week. One round, I hit the pin on the fly on the approach shot which caused it to bounce off the green and the very next hole had a hole in 1. Funny that game of golf.
Good luck to everyone that has to finish.

What an embarrassment. This week's performance has me almost ready to toss the game out the window. After, for me, respectable outings including a 13th place in mid Nov, every swing for the past 2 weeks had been terrible. I get that people have off days but wow.
I play CC-E (where I landed after a poor Q School) and haven't shot a round over par until last week. I'm typically -3 to -10 per round. Not crazy low ever. Now par is well in the rearview, with no real explanation or change in my set-up.
All of this occurred before yesterday's patch so we'll see, but has anyone else noticed a serious drop in their swing accuracy in the two weeks pre-patch?

I had to be so careful with the drawback and I had to slow the downswing so much it was painful. Even then some of the tempo results would leave me scratching my head. It seems the patch has made the tempo much more stable and I've been able to speed it up a bit which is much more comfortable to me.

I'm sure hoping that is the case for me too. But it's still odd to me that it's changed in the past two weeks...and I mean it's been consistently bad.
Still love the game but see that changing if the swing doesn't return a little bit!

Still love the game but see that changing if the swing doesn't return a little bit! I definitely understand where you are coming from. I have been playing since TGC1 and I got pretty good (I was in Web). With 2, I began slipping through the ranks because I didn't have the time to sharpen my game. With this game, I've had more time to play and try to work on things. Week 1, I was doing amazing and with Masters clubs. Then all of a sudden, my swing left me (due to the patch). I was trying every thumbstick, controller, and grip I could think of. Bombed Q School. Wanted to give up. Decided to go back to the way I've played golf games since I was a boy and try to work with it. Through all kinds of swings and watching the feedback, I was able to figure out a usable swing (which was a crap shoot at times on X1). So the moral of the story is don't give up. I can't even begin to describe how good it felt last night when I felt like I had control of the game like I did in the days of old.

ive had tempo issues the last couple of weeks. My backswing had to be super slow, and my downswing had to be super fast. When I first got the game it was a nice smooth tempo forward and back, so im not sure what the deal is, but whatever, I just adjusted my swing.
still a good game, hoping to see how it works post patch, though I have to adjust my flop shot now. Its more accurate for sure. My legit flop shots down hit then spin back 10'. they usually stop and roll out a few feet since your not pinching the ball, it doesn't add mad amounts of backspin.

Still not comfortable with amended mouse swing, but managed -6 on round 4 to finish -32.
Personally never started this game to do -15 to -18 a round as that is not golf, maybe the odd -10, but an average of -4 or -5 and to have a challenge. Seeing those -45 pluses winning tournaments makes you wonder is it worth it.
