Really struggled on the Petite course this week in my practice rounds. My best score was a +1, and I had to do some serious scrambling so I wasn't very hopeful.
Played my official rounds early and somehow I've managed to come in at -3 after two so I'm very pleased with that. Just have to avoid the patented final round meltdown. 🤦🏽♂️
Also scored a ridiculously fkukey birdie in the second round from the bushes which kept the round ticking. No idea how it went in!

So angry right now. Just played my best tournament so far with a -8 finish, but I inexplicably blew up over the final four holes of the last round to score a +4 after scoring -5, -3 and -4 over the first three. How the hell could I be -12 thru 68 holes, then end up -8 after 72? Choke Artist! It's my first under par score in a tournament, but that finish is a 5 iron to the gonads. 😠 I hear ya man. I can't tell you how many times I've done this. I'll be having a great round, playing the best I've played, and at the moment I realize it, it gets in my head, and I absolutely blow the rest of the round. Good job on those first 68 !
And yes, Masters give you a bit more distance, but they are harder to control. I prefer masters just to say I'm playing on the highest difficulty. Plus, the added distance does help me get out of a pickle sometimes. But that said, I'm usually in the pickle due to the masters clubs in the first place. hahahha.
Tried Masters last night. Long story short, I think I'll stick to Pros. 😅

Oh Lord. -4 after two into a +3 and a +8 in the final two rounds. Never felt confident. I knew this course had my number. ☹️

I had a Round 1 for the ages yesterday. Actually, it was a front nine for the ages. I somehow was six under par at the turn! I was feeling it, everything was going right. On the back nine, I settled back down to more normal, and was only able to add one more, for a -7. Still, it got my name in the lights, at least till more people play, my name is up there tied for first!!
I'm quite sure that I'll fix that in the later rounds though. hahahah!!

So after a pretty uneventful first round i finished on -2. Started the second round even better sitting at -4 after 9 holes.im not sure what seemed to happen but I definitely choked hitting +6 on the back nine ending on +2 and E overall at the half way. Definitely need to fit in a few practice rounds in the back 9 before I take on my final rounds.
6 bloody birdies and finished 2 over!!! What a load of old tosh

First TGC Tour event in almost 3 years and I shot a respectable 16 under (67, 67, 66, 68). Still getting used to the new controls, 16-22 yard pitches are a nightmare so many dropped shots from that range.

So frustrated right now.
So disappointed.
I've played here over a year, never come close to a top finish.
All the sudden, this week, I find myself in 1st place, on rounds 1, 2, and 3. I actually had a shot at winning at tournament!! I went into R4 with a 2 stroke lead, I figured I'd be comfortable if I could at least do -4 or -5.
But today the game hated me.
You know, I can own up to my own mistakes. I don't mind saying when I play bad. But I've played long enough that I know the difference of me hitting my controller very fast or very slow, and the stupid HB server or internet causing it. Today was a bad tempo day. I was getting very fasts, and very slows, on almost every other shot, with no consistency, no rhyme or reason, because I know when I move the controller the exact same way, with the exact same club, it should be the same. not very fast one time, and very slow the next.
I saw in those first three rounds what I can do if there was no tempo problems. I hate HB right now. If they make another game like this that is client side/server side tempo based, I doubt I'll buy it. But I doubt they even care.

So after my tremendous flop on round 4 on last weeks tournament (from +1 on R3 to finish on +13 after round 4) im feeling a bit more positive this week. Looking to play my first round tonight. Lets see how that goes down.

Yeah, get'em, Sam!!
Well, even after my aforementioned R4 meltdown, looks like being in first place for the first three rounds was enough to get me fastracked (AGAIN) to CC-G. ...where I had already put up a +5 bomb of a R1 in this weeks tournament.
Now I could understand fastracking me on last weeks performance alone, IF I were a relatively new player. But... if you take my entire year into consideration, its pretty plain that I have a couple really good scores, then I'm back to average "Z" scores. If I'm getting better, then cool. but I'd give it more than 3 rounds to decide that.
I don't know what the fastracking formula is, but it seems like a joke to me. Its like those computer weather forecasts that all the websites have these days, that don't look at the history of the area or the time frame as a whole, they only base the decision on the conditions right now at this moment. The 5 green promo marks to advance have no meaning. Apparently all you have to do is get one and you get fastracked. LOL
whelp we shall see how it goes.

Update: the course is tough and after four rounds it's made me question some of my life choices (specifically why I bothered to play this week). Guess I should be thankful I at least managed one round under par at -2.
+11 overall. By the end I'd had enough. Hate it when a course makes me feel like that, but I guess it's up to me to get better. Grrr.

I don't know what the fastracking formula is, but it seems like a joke to me. It's something along the lines of: anyone who finishes more than one standard deviation better than the median score is fast-tracked. This system is in place only in CC-Am as a way to clear out lower tours. This system works towards less overlap in skill between adjacent flights which leads to fairer competition.

Just a note: this week, we are playing an RCR of the course hosting The Open Championship. As such, you are getting major championship conditions.
In theory, you could reasonably compare your scores against scores from this week's PGA major event.
