WTF Designs, LLC (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) proudly presents...
Ute Forrest Country Club
Set in the hills of northwest Colorado, Ute Forrest Country Club has a lot to offer. Aside from it's great views, it provides a very scorable, yet challenging game to golfers of all skill set. Chose one of three tee boxes ranging from 7180 to 6772 yards. Generous fairways will yield different angles to four pins, but driver is not always the best choice as angles can be manipulated to your advantage. Fairways are at a premium as being in the rough could cost you a scoring opportunity, especially on the par 5's. Plenty of water is in play, so stay dry and play smart. Overall this traditional par 72 is meant to be an enjoyable, playable round to anyone that stops by...with plenty of seating on the deck for relaxation afterward.
Course Default Conditions:
Tees: Black: 7190
White: 7002
Red: 6780
Fairways:
Firmness: .70 (firm)
Rough/Heavy Rough:
Firmness: .60 (firm)
Greens:
Firmness: .70 (firm)
Speed: 163 (fast)
Designer Notes:
This is my Challenge Circuit Rookie Design Battle course entry. This is my 2nd completed course. My first is Broken Bow Golf Preserve, which was created as part of Eric Nesbit's (VctryLnSprts )Survivor Contest. It was a lot of fun creating this course. My utmost goal was to focus on play-ability and neatness as I get more comfortable with the designer. Planting and "eye candy" was last on the list.
I was on the fence about joining this competition, but I'm very glad I did. This was exactly the course I wanted to create. Very much like a country club of similar style that I'm very familiar with and worked at all through high school. I like how this turned out, and I hope the judges and the community do as well. I learn more and more every time I get into the designer.
Please excuse the bad graphics in the pictures to follow. I design on a pretty poor laptop that requires all graphics to be turned all the way down.

Edit: This replay was clipped from a live stream by gdog . A hole in 1 on the reachable par 4, 5th hole. This was in an earlier beta version. Eric, Smedley and Geoff were play testing and giving feedback. It was pretty cool to watch. Enjoy!
