What is the draw with Xbox. Is it cheaper ? Why would someone buy Xbox over PS4. Serious question Xbox has the games I like, controller fits my hands better. In my opinion Xbox live is better than PSN. I don’t think the Xbox one x is actually cheaper then a PS4 pro.

If your going to ask that sort of question why not ask why a console rather than a PC, a PC can use any of the controllers and most of the games are released on both but a PC that will run games is generally more expensive. Consoles are basically plug and go.

Consoles are basically plug and go. Games are a secondary reason to own a PC. I would never buy a PC just for games. So I was wondering what the difference was between Xbox and PS4. To to be honest I have like ONE game on my PS4. TGC19.

I have owned the previous Sony consoles from PlayStation up to PS3 alongside an Xbox then 360 then Xbox One, I just feel more comfortable holding the Xbox controller and I prefer the position of the sticks. Loved the Halo games.

Because I use Microsoft Rewards I've not had to pay for Xbox Live for 3 years and earned enough points to get a controller and roughly £50 worth of Xbox points. So you could say I've saved over £200 from using the rewards scheme. I know a few others that play the same games as me on Xbox so I can play online with them, oh yeah and the cases are green.

Just to be clear I'm not mocking anybody. I own a PC as opposed to an Apple product even though Apple is better at what I do professionally, BUT - I have so much PC software . . . .
I was just curious

I was just curious Never thought you were mocking anyone I think it just comes down to preference rather than price, if the console has the games you like then that’s probably the one you would go for. If they can afford to buy both then some people have to get the best of both worlds.

For me it's because all my friends play PS.
Sometime around 2007-2008 my friends and I all had xbox 360's. Red Ring of death set in for all of us over the course of a few months. The free replacements ultimately red-ring'd as well and we decided enough is enough and moved over to PS3. PS3 experience was 100% fine all the way through to PS4 so it wasn't really a discussion whether to go back to xbox at that point, we were all happy and just moved directly to PS4. Been totally fine ever since. It's just what we're used to and nothing out there jumps out enough to convince anyone to consider switching. There seems to be little pro's & con's to each, it's difficult to sift through the fanboy discussion on each side to get a perfectly unbiased view, but I think it's safe to say it's ultimately not much of a difference for the casual gamer.
Edit: I'd love to set up a solid gaming PC. Building & maintaining gaming PC's used to be my thing. Then life got in the way. Maybe I will some day, but right now the plug n play / cost effectiveness of consoles is winning out.

Ah! The Coke vs Pepsi, Ford vs Chevy debates. Either way, competing systems make them both better over time. Now we just need another legitimate golf game!

This is as of Friday Morning: PS4 - Median Accuracy (0.04901034), Average Percentage of Perfect Downswings - 80% XB1 - Median Accuracy (0.044737385), Average Percentage of Perfect Downswings - 63.77% Steam - Median Accuracy (0.049247973), Average Percentage of Perfect Downswings - 73% If there is such a big difference in the downswings and only a small difference of 1ish shots per round doesn't that mean xbox users make the ground up on other things, I know myself as a ps4 user, I can tempo well but can't hit in the blue line almost ever. on chips I see people chip in all the time where as I can't get tempo right on chips or flop shots, and can't swing them straight either... I miss straight putts sometimes because I can't swing in the blue line... are people taking these things into account as well. I would have thought nearly 20% difference in tempo would be a lot more then 1 shot per round

I would have thought nearly 20% difference in tempo would be a lot more then 1 shot per round I have never had an Xbox, so I do not know, but I have read in these forums that getting the Tempo right with Xbox is much harder than with PS4, BUT that getting "down-the-line" is easier. Is that really true? What zz said above is true for me as well. It is very difficult to hit the line on chips especially, and putts are tricky as well. This might make up for the Tempo issue.

It doesn’t make up for the tempo issues, try going on the range and deliberately try and swing outside the line, as long as your tempo is perfect/perfect your unlikely to miss the fairway. That’s what I’m seeing on Xbox anyway the games all about tempo.

Second the problem is what a P/F actually does, which is make the shot go long and left. So unless you're a God at putting, you can't make that up when you're stuck with 20-30 footers vs <10 assuming you hit the shot you drew up. I don't know why this is even still a discussion tbh. If we could make it up other ways it would show on the painfully obvious one-sided leaderboards.
