I started work this morning on porting over Angus Bay International from TGC2, which to date is my only course to be approved on the TGC Tours database (as Angus Bay International G. C.). Straightening out the fairways is going to be the biggest issue, that will take some time as with it being made in TGC2, the longer distance between the splines means that the wavy fairways by design are now squiggling about all over the place.
Handily though the plant meter is only about two thirds full where as in TGC2 it was crashing, so I'll be able to do some more planting, and may well set it up so it is a tournament course complete with crowds and stands. Or do TGC Tours prefer not to have them, as in the couple of dozen or so events I played last season, very few had spectators.
I'll report on progress in due course. I completed the first this morning - sorted the fairway, added more grasses and some gorse and also another pot bunker further up the middle of the fairway. I'll leave the stands until last, I'll await answers first. A little game from Rockstar is going to get in the way very soon though.

I'm onto the 5th hole where the porting over made the fairway that bad I've scrubbed it all out and started it over. Holy crap, it's hard to get everything right when you already have the pot bunkers and planting in place. I started it this morning and in a 45 minutes session I still haven't finished it. Fairways now with the autofill spline and secondary surface normally take 10-15 minutes depending on the size of it.

Fairways fixed and tall grass tidied up for the outward nine. Now to start the inward nine...

I'm on the 17th now, where it is taking a long time to turn the clusters of gorse bushes into hazards that the game will make you drop from. After all, I don't know of anybody in real life who has hit a shot from the middle of a cluster of gorse bushes.

I've finally managed to tidy up all the fairways and tall grass. Now I have the less arduous and less time consuming job of adding a third tee to every hole, move some pins so not every hole is exactly the same as TGC2, tweak some sculpting and add crowds and grandstands so it's a tournament course. Not that I have much planting left after adding a sh%$ load of grass.

Third tees added on all holes. Some of the tees before have been moved also.
Now onto moving some pins, tweaking some sculpting and adding crowds and stands. I'm hoping to release next week.
