was using actual courses even considered? All the TPC courses and the new course they will be releasing would have been great venues for Q-School. Sure they've been played a lot...but at least we wouldn't be playing fantasy land courses You answered your own question.... they've been played.... a lot.
This is a throwback to tgc1.. when q school was played on the hardest 4 courses we could find in the game. At least this one only has one course that's hard.... not 4.

It just amazes me how many people complain about this or that. For gosh sakes just play the courses they have selected and enjoy the process. Thank you tgc tours for the AWESOME experience you give us ALL!

Sorry, i should have worded the question differently... After the 2 week Q-School, there will be weekly Q-Schools... For those weekly tournaments, how does someone qualify for Web, Euro, PGA out of Q-School if they are playing against CC-Pro players? They won’t be playing against CC-Pro players? Results from Q-School will determine what Tour that player will play on. Q-School is only done once and is only for placing players in the appropriate tour for their skill level. There will be other tour events aside. Yes, but how does a player qualify for, say Web.com tour card, straight out of Q-School?

Yes, but how does a player qualify for, say Web.com tour card, straight out of Q-School? It will be based off the last position that gets a promotion mark for that event. If that CC-A player shoots 25-under, then to qualify for Web you'd have to shoot 25-under or better (using master clubs). Euro would be a percentage higher (like 29 under or better for example using master clubs) and PGA a percentage higher than that (34 under or higher). All those figures are just guesstimates, there will be cut lines/tour lines displayed closer to the end of the week

True...just thought some cool RCR's that play tough would have been a nice way to showcase the PGA partnership in the game The TPC courses in game are inferior to what many designers in our community could do. The Sawgrass in game is inferior to what we have had design wise in the past AND it has bugged greens on several holes on the back 9 (it will show a putt down 4 inches when its flat). Furthermore, most are not tough (mostly because they are short).
A harder course and a not as hard course is a good balance.
Everyone is playing the same thing.

woohoo, I'm so pumped, been looking forward to this!
Pearl mountain is one of the courses that actually have favorited, nice to see its one of the selections!
The other one sounds like its gonna be a replay of me playing in the open qualifier, where I will shoot +60 or something like that. hahaha!
Thank you to all involved in making this website/tour work, I love it!

Very much this...
In fact, I haven't even played any of the courses that came with the game.

Delighted to see St Bedes get its deserved moment in the sun, though I may change my mind after 4 rounds on it! This is going to be a fun 8 rounds, let's get it on! 😀😎 tallcool911 I think the whites are the tips, don't worry it won't get any worse! Thought you’d be happy, don’t blame me if it goes tits up though. With the new swing mechanics, it’s a different beast to when I first designed it. Conrats on your course being selected Hootbleet. Well done mate.
Really looking forward to this!!!

I played St Bedes with master clubs and the hard difficulty. I was hitting out of the rough most holes as the ball just seemed to creep into the rough from the firm fairways. I shot 80 with a triple and double bogey. It will favor straight hitters to be sure, and it would help to play it a few times. The greens I played on were 160 something speed wise and I missed a ton of putts. Overall I don't like to play bad, but I am glad I played a practice round even though it kicked my butt.
Practice your sliding putts. It will take game management to score well here as it should. Get ready for the moaners.
I will continue to plod along with the master clubs even though sometimes I feel like I am not consistant enough to use them. Have fun, it is just a game. Good luck to all in Q-school.

The default green speeds are 182 iirc. I'm guessing we will get those, but again, just a guess. You likely had 163 greens speeds, which is what the 'Fast' setting equates to. So pretty much any setting other than 'Very Fast' would be slowing them down from the default.
Overall I would expect the Default settings to be used fairly often, just that I think the wind will be controlled/set moreso than anything else. But like I said above, I am just guessing.

Bob, you are correct. I used the fast greens speeds, instead of the very fast, with firm fairways, and the wind was almost but not quite 10mph.
For q-school, I would like to see the default settings for the first round so that players can ease into this tough course. I would definately be ok with the very fast green speeds though.
