I'm in a bit of a dilemma about what club set to play with. I've always played Masters, but I'm in CC-B due to a rubbish Q School and an equally rubbish promo event (due to jet lag having travelled 10,000 miles!).
The issue is, getting promoted from CC-B and CC-A is gonna be extremely tough with Masters, especially now you don't get promotion marks for being in the top 20 Masters players any more.
Might try Pro for the next CC-B event and see where I end up.
Of course, the patch might drop soon, which should help my swing on the Xbox, so that might get me changing back to Masters pretty quickly...
Still, it is much more fun down in the CC tours!

Since I bought the 2019 version, I never used anything other than the Master Clubs. They can be brutal, but they are rewarding when you hit them correctly. I always play from the tips in all matches I play (even for fun). I have a buddy that plays the tips with me and plays the Professional clubs. He agrees that if he chooses the easier clubs, he should have to pay the price of shorter distances (10-15 yards) and has no problem hitting from the Tips. I was in the Web in the original TGC and now I am CCC, which is great. Right where I belong. If you don't have any desire to move up, use the shorter clubs. IF you have any intentions of breaking that CC barrier, you NEED to play the master clubs. They may be awarding promotion points more liberally for the Master clubs. What I don't understand is how someone playing the beginner clubs shoots a -80 for the qualifier?? Please explain. Update : OK. Since that post, I played well enough in the Promotion Event to go from CC-C to European Tour and I made my first cut on the Euro Tour. The master clubs on the PC can work occasionally.
