Played for the first time since the 2019 release and realized how different the games really are.. I hit be ball way better than before, but missed an incredible amount of short putts. Finished at -31, looking forward to Season 5.

Finished at -31 too. I found putting much harder in tgc2 than the new game.

Killer B leader at -24 through 2 rounds? Holy cow people are murdering this course! I felt decently good about my -30 total but now....seems pedestrian. I'll avoid a strike but jeez...was hoping for top 10 at least. I'm not even sure it will be top 25.

Yeah, I designed the course to play pretty easy, since it was supposed to be for the start of 2019, when everyone is still learning the controls and whatnot. It's no surprise you guys tore it up, good shooting!

We'd been pounding CC-Pro with some challenging stuff over the last few weeks, so it was high time for a shootout type event. We're certainly expecting some crazy low scores this week!

Throwing this out there...
Every now and then, a complete event finds its way into my hands, then I find a way to break it.
For me it was the first round, where I was -3 at the turn. A bogey on 10 felt like my fate was sealed, and my escape from CC-A would not happen on this cycle.
Then the skies parted, my hands steadied, and my swings became true. -8 on the final eight holes, including eagles on both of the back 9 par 5’s left me at -10 for the round, among the large cluster within 4 shots of the leader.
My amazing fortunes continued into a -12 on the second round, putting me in the top 5 as of the latest score posts with -22.
Continued the good vibe on round 3, and survived the wind crisis on round 4. Final tally: -40, a rare score for me, unless I’m playing the Little Brook Manor Invitational (event motto: “Please, somebody... anybody... come play in our tournament”)
Does anybody out there think I’m going to get a final week shot at Web, albeit on Oakmont next week at the Web.com championship, where the whole thing is probably moot...?
Not bragging here - I’m the blind squirrel stumbling over his nuts, or however that goes.
Cheers! 🍻

The end times for TGC2 are here. Some of us wander the wasteland of the past, searching for a good final tournament.
The putter would not behave, leading to respectable 65-65-68-65 for 21 under total for the tournament. But it could have been so, so, SO much better if that putter hadn't been such a wily club.
I dunno what -21 will get me, and how many people will be playing this week, but its not a bad finish for me this season.

We’re in the boring times waiting for a season...any season to start. I’ll be in Canada for 10days so that will eat up some time waiting. I have enough rounds under my belt and am ready. Actually shooting better in “19” the in “2”

Wanted to say, I really enjoyed this week's course, Drettenhorn. It was challenging but fair, and I was forced to use shot shaping on a lot of holes to get a good shot, so that was exciting. I probably could/should have used it more often, but I wasn't willing to risk it!

In “19”I have used shot shaping MUCH more with the longer roll outs and or course design. I've used the punch shot around 10 times in 19. Never in TGC1 or 2. Guess I am finding myself in more difficult situations with 19 and its "tempo".
