I hope everyone that has got the game is enjoying it. In the next week or so I will start looking for courses for the start of season 5. Like last year, the start of a season can be a strange time, as we are all learning. At the moment, I am playing when I can to try determine the right level of difficulty for the web but over the first few weeks there could be courses that would be considered easy or to hard. Anyway, if anyone has any suggestions, please feel free to add in this thread for me to check out, if there is any setting you think would suit the web more or any feedback at all going in to the new season, let me know by pm or on the fourms, happy to hear from anyone. Thanks all.

This is more a general question than a suggestion, but do you plan to use default course conditions, or custom settings? Do you plan to vary them through the 4 rounds of a tournament? What about time of day (lighting/shadows)? I've been playing mostly career mode on the hard setting, and I'm getting better gradually at understanding what's going to happen with various shots, but on the hard setting everything is firm/firm/163, so I don't know what happens under other conditions. There could be a tremendous amount of variability from round to round. I'm not sure what I think is best at this point.
I have not ported a course yet because I'm afraid some of the holes and pins would be nearly unplayable with the current rollout. I put several pins in places where the right shot would feed to the hole, but aiming at the pin could put you in a bad spot. I'm afraid some of those are unfair with the current setup of the new game. I think that is a problem with many (most?) custom courses, so I'm waiting to see if they adjust ball flight, spin, rollout, etc., with a patch.
Thanks for all the work you do!

My preferred option is to ask the designer and use there choices. I would like to use different settings for different day as we did in tgc 1 but also don’t want to change anything against a designers wishes. Options are good though and it looks like we have a few, it’s why I would like to hear from designers and players alike, I am sure there will be a issue here and there but they can always be worked through. First few weeks will be crazy, but as more courses are created, more options appear.

I ported Potter Lake C.C. to 2019. It was considered tour worthy but has yet to host anything. In TGC2 it felt like it might have been in between CC-Pro and Web-appropriate. Given my struggles with the new swing it may well work for web in the new game. I ended up flattening a green that was sloped front to back so that the green could be held. Other than that it ported reasonably well.
Speaking for myself as a designer, I have no problem with schedulers/rangers modifying the conditions as they see fit.

I have a general question. I read a post by doyley that did not mention a web tour. HE mentioned adding more CC categories and merging world tour but nothing regarding web and I don’t see a web society in game. If the web society is nixed, where do all of us end up? If there is a web society, then my questions are answered.
Thanks

I believe HB told Doyley it may be after the long weekend before they can look into it.

Web Society has been created and shows up on PC/Steam, but doesn't show on the console versions (XB1 nor PS4) at the moment. TGCTours reached out to HB Studios to sort this out, but like the post above states, it won't be until after the long weekend that HB will look into it.
There will be a Web tour and society in TGC2019/Season 5 here at TGCT.

I ported over to TGC2019- The Olmsted- South Course. It finished Top 10 in the Survivor contest, and was deemed Tour worthy, but has yet to host a TGC Tournament. The Tourney organizer could set this course to be as easy or difficult as they wanted with Wind. The pin locations aren't tricked out.

Feel free to give The Cannon at Deception Cove a look. There are 4 sets of tees to choose from. I also ported The Sentient Golf Club, but the greens might be too tricky with all the yellow slopes?

My latest course could be a good start mate Dare Ice Valley 7000 Meyers from the tips but plays short, regards Jacquesy

Looks even better in 19.

I just ported over The Ruby Club for TGC2019. It plays very difficult for me, but I did make the greens soft and fix some yellow slopes after the port for TGC2019. Check it out, it may be a great fit for the Web.com.

Three Eyed Raven and Reservation at Tomahawque were ported over. Both were on World/PGA last season however Raven had ZERO business being a World Tour course choice and Tomahawque has had 300-400 yards taken off the scorecard and much easier greens on the port-over so both might be considered a Web option. As for playing in Web, not sure where I will end up given the club mandate but I hope to qualify for one of these Pro Tour spots as this stop was one of the most enjoyable tours to be on.
