Finished my rounds and they did not go well. Went 16 under for the week, figuring that to be a couple strikes.
I really liked this course! Thought there were a lot of fun holes. I enjoyed it from start to finish...with that being said I just couldn’t get anything going this week. What can you do.

R2 (70) -6 for the tourney two doubles and missing the last four fairways on the back nine didn't help. R3 tomorrow

I had a rough week on exemption. Only managed to throw a -4 up for the tournament. Not sure if it was nerves of my first exemption or what, but I managed to string together birdies to just promptly give them back. Just didn't hit many good second shots all week. But it was a learning experience. Back to E next week.

On exemption this week. R1 started off on the wrong foot. Bogeyed the short par 4 1st hole and double bogeyed the 3rd hole to start off @ +3... Managed to scratch my way back and finished -2.. below are my round score
1st round = -2 2nd round = -6 3rd round = -9 4th round = -6
Total = -23 <-- hope to make the clear strike line to stay in CC-D

R1 in the books with a 62 but it could have been so much better!!! I lipped out 2 eagle putts and missed another 12 foot birdie on 18 that I should have made!!!! So maddening!

Seriously stuffed up round 3. I didn’t think -16 after 2 would be 10th so I didn’t really concentrate. +1 round 3 to shoot my self in the foot.

R3 BLAAAAHHHHH! 37 putts. R4 tomorrow. This course might be called the Dragons Pass but the greens are the Medusa! for me anyway.

Concentration is a big thing with me - although I can breeze through a round almost on auto-pilot in the right circumstances, like I did with my R1 61(-10) yesterday. I find not focusing on the score helps, it removes the rising pressure as the round progresses. Sometimes works, sometimes not. Can breeze through a round and think I'm doing pretty good only to realise on the last hole that I'm only at -1 instead of the -6 or so I'd imagined. Anyway, round 1: No idea what a Par Breaker is, but I got 55% of them.

par breakers means to score better/lower than par. Therefore, par breakers are scores of birdie and better. I think

Other that to have an idea of how often you are coming in under par on holes, it seems it would be most useful in a stableford scoring format. Do any TGCT events use stableford? Would have been fun to do alongside the Barracuda last week.
