BACK TO REALITY - PAR in round 2. Tough course with player clubs. I need to make a couple club adjustments to get more length. I have a gap between 195 and 216 and need that 245 club instead of the normal 235. I go with a 1 iron (207) on player clubs with the 2 iron (195) and 5 wood I think (225) on either side. Still have the 3 wood (245) as well. I can't remember the rest of the clubs I have so maybe I've dropped a shorter one for one of the lower irons. It's a long course and the par 5's are outta my range in 2 shots, so I normally settle for going for birdie or hope to pitch in an eagle. I’ve been using a 4 wood for 235 because I’m normally better farther away pitching then closer chipping. I was getting in more trouble with a 3 wood trying to reach the green

Rd 2 was bloodier. +4 thanks in large to a double on 18.
+7 thru 36, would be less ugly if there was a cut. But there isn't.
Onward!

Well the big final push ends with a R4 -1 for an overall +1. Back through the Amatuer trap-door I go. TTFN!

Rd 3 - I managed a -3 69 but was -6 on the front and finished bogey-double to have a +3 back. Was feeling it, then choked.
Onward.

Meltdown on the 18th. I could not make a side Hill 4 foot putt. Took an 8 and ruined a already bad round ending +4. After flerting with an exemption I’m hoping for only ONE strike

Only -5 after 2 rounds. First round was OK, but the second was a rollercoaster of exciting birdies, heartpumping par saves, and crushing bogeys. Not in a great position on the leaderboard though, and I'll have to really pick up the pace in the last 2 rounds.
I didn't feel overly punished on this course for using player clubs. Approaches were long but felt manageable, and many of my approaches were great.

Decided to play this week to get into things before the last 4 weeks. Actually played pretty well in R1, -6 with just one bogey.
Not as good in R2, but I’ll still take a 70 for -8 at the halfway point. Not specifically going for an exemption this week, so as long as I stay above the strike line, I’ll take it!
Ruined it in R3, going +4 to sit at -4, barely above the strike line. Hoping for better play in the final round!
-3 in R4 to get me to -7. Should avoid strikes on CC-C... we'll see

Finished up with a pair of 66s, putting me at -17 for the tourney - not a bad comeback from a 68-71. I'll take my upper mid pack finish and look to next week.
Missed an ace by...hairwidth. Missed a few fairway eagles from the same distance. Some real emotional moments!

From being in CC-Z at the start of the season it looks like i'll get an exemption for the Web next week.I'm guessing i'll have to make the cut? Not sure how it works but sure it'll be tough.

It's becoming a theme for me. Three decent rounds and one bad one. This week it's 67-64-70-67 for -20, which puts me 5 shots out of Web exemption. The third round is usually the culprit. For whatever reason, no matter what I've done the first two rounds, the 3rd round is always right around even par. That will need to change next season.

Well I just shot myself in the foot at Wake Iles: R1: 65, -7 after 9 holes, ended -7 R2: 65, -1 after 9 holes R3: 64, played scratchy but consistant R4: 73, flushed down the toilet. Lost all tempo and swing control. Total -20. not getting 4 exemptions in a row Over to you jacobkessler and CiB0RG

After wasting my Web.com exemption last week, I just posted -36 which will hopefully be good enough for another one.
Opened with a 62 and followed with a 57, I made basically everything in that round. Followed that up with a sluggish 68 and ended with an ok 65.

Decent tournie, fell a bit in round 3, came back strong in the last round with bogey free. -22 over all, tied for 8th. Time to jump the shark on tournie with the Fonzy group. I hope I stick around this time in A.
