Welcome to 'Ireland'in the south of Wales.
Nor a bad start for me 63 in round 1 followed by a 58. So I should be safe from the cut.

Nice playing Stowey, ....almost like you know the course 😉 really like it mate - crackin’ Job. Not normally a fan of the dark light but on THIS course it works and actually adds to visibility. played solid the first 2 rounds -7 and -11 for -18 at the turn for home. Some good scores on the PS4 leaderboard but don’t know some of the names, so don’t know is is competing and who isn’t. play well to all, DP.

Just played Rd4. Some super spicey pins there. Wowsers. I boobooed one and managed to get away with a par.
The poor ghost I was playing with was struggling to keep control of his ball and left himself some quite tricky recovery shots.....after putting.
Finished -37 which looking at the leaderboard Am hoping is enough for an exemption next week.
Good luck all,

Just finished my first round Ste, and every bounce was a good one, rode some luck for a -12 59. Pretty chuffed with that, first sub 60 in a tour round that I can remember in forever! Was not brave enough to risk a second round straight away!
The course is great, but I would say that after a good score!

A very nice course indeed! My spare time is currently rather limited, and this somehow has a negative impact on the quality of my game. Hence, my ambitions are slightly more modest these days, that is, making the cut is my sole objective.
The narrow fairways made me pay for my lack of training. Only half of my drives landed in the short stuff. In combination with strong winds, approaches tend to become a little tricky. Under these circumstances, I am pretty happy that I only messed up one hole and saved par on many occasions. -5 on the back nine secured a solid first round of -7.
In round two, the weather conditions were particularly interesting, as a transition from low winds in the beginning towards a noticeable storm in the end slightly increased the difficulty. Unfortunately, I could not profit from the softer breeze in the front nine, and due to the higher winds, my driving accuracy went south again in the second half. Nevertheless, I managed a second round score of -5, which is okay for me.
My total score of -12 should float around the cut line, I'm slightly optimistic that it might be just enough, though.
Good luck to all!

Agree. Clown pin placements. And clown course designer. You can’t even mow those greens. Those are burned out and dog sh%$ in the summer. First two rounds were perfectly fine. Last two rounds were a circus and mostly clowns mouths. This is why I quit for 6 months.

Some harsh words guys, I've not played Rd3 or 4 yet so can't comment on those pins specifically but in general yes this is a tough course. Both tee to green and on the green too, but I've not seen anything yet that is unfair or not what I'd expect from time to time at Euro level. If it was week in, week out at this level of difficulty it would be something to discuss with the scheduler but that's not where we are at. I think being tested from time to time is good.
Please remember that the designer and the scheduler give their own time to put this together for us, and deserve feedback to maybe be a little more constructively put than the last two posts.
Not looking to create a war of words, just asking that maybe we can be a little more respectful even in expressing a negative point of view.
Hug it out!

I was offline for a month, and this is my second tournament. Wasnt expecting to win anything but also wasnt expecting to have my worse performances lol. First round I was 7+ after 6 holes! LOL. The course was fine, just for some reason everything was going left. Couldnt hit the red cone... massive left swings. Even when putting! In one of the first par 3s I ended up having a 5 putt bogey lol! Even though I had managed to hit the green and I was going for birdie !!! Somehow I managed to bring it back all the way to +2. The second round was better and managed to score a -12, which resulted on a score of -10 for the first two rounds. Most likely not enough of a comeback to not miss the cut but better than having 2 nightmares in a round hahaha. I think if I didnt miss a few birdies on the second round and if I would have avoided a bogey I could have had a chance to save myself. Good luck everybody!

The course is fine for me, the mess of my rounds was mostly the weird left swings.

As expected my 2nd and 3rd rounds fell away from my stellar first round, so have gone -12, -6, -6 to be -24 after three. Tied with the course designer though, so will take that as a moral victory.
R3 pins are more challenging but still more than ok, no problem with them for me on moving day!

fun track, finally made a cut
FIRS and GIRS were relatively straight forward so that put a big emphasis on reading putts which i finally did a decent job of. was nice to finally hit some decent scoring clubs into the greens. i enjoy the complexes that allow you to shape a shot and have it funnel into the correct spot
have to agree some of the pins in the later rounds were a bit tough but that's a lot to do with the pins the first 2 days being super easy.
i did triple 18 in round 4 after hitting it about 5 yards short of the green only to have it roll about 140 feet past and being unable to putt up the huge slope a few times in a row.

The course was difficult, but a lot of fun to play. Nice work by the designer!
