Tour. I’m too cranky to give a sh%$ about the original post. So me winding you about about a typo doesn't help then?

I agree with the lens flare (J.J. Abrahams should be banned from course design).
That said, we needn’t have every course be a walk in the park (with all due respect, if that’s what you want, drop back down to CC-AM). There is nothing wrong with laying up, even from the tees. On more than one occasion, I clubbed down to a long iron off the tee, finding reasonably wide fairway areas, and leaving myself with a decent approach shot. Ended -28 on the week.
Nary a perfect/fast either, but YMMV.
If a bad golfer like myself can score on this course, with a little patience, planning, and a solid IP, anyone can.
My apologies to Roy for really being no help at all. Stay grumpy, my friend 🍻

Pass this week. This course gives me a headache and it’s especially unkind to anyone without your clubs. Heck I like the course but have not hit under par in 2 rounds. But then again I as playing aggressively to see how I could do. I think this is a defensive course. Take what it gives you. Win by not losing

I’m rightly grumpy cos this game has zero consistency from one week to the next. It’s a complete coin toss.

Still on the fence about playing this week. Will be on vacay Tue-Thu so not a lot of time to get the rounds in, BUT had a practice round where I got an ace on the first par 3(2nd? 3rd?). Shot a decent -5 or so(can't remember exact score), but after seeing only 5 of the first 59 not break par....

Hey guys! You all are playing my course this week. This was the 10th place selection in the Design Challenge: National Treasure contest. I hope it is a good experience for the most part. I know the lighting is a bit controversial, but man I really wanted the sweet, sweet rays of light through the jungle haze on #1, #11, and #12. I actually am glad to hear it is a challenge, as I always strive to design a "take what it gives you" type course. Birdies should be earned. I love hearing all of your feedback on the course. It makes me better as a designer. On that note, I will publish my next course some time this week, Zilker Park, as part of the current Survivor contest. I can promise that there will be no dark shadows on that one. Anyway, best of luck to everyone this week!

I was a bit short of that but enjoyed the challenge.. It's a really great course.. As others have said.. Play for Pars and take birdies when the course gives them up..

Tired of the slow fast complaining for sure. Works great on a PS4. Round 1 done -6. The trick on this course is to take it seriously. Lay up. No bogies look for a good landing place. This course is like a chess match. Think one move ahead and take what is go on to you.
playing aggressively for my E and +2. Playing safe and conservative -6
love be the course but lighting is brutal and I literally can not see the hole on a few greens even with a 65 inch screen

In a huge funk these days, I think the last 3 courses have taken my golfers spirit and smashed it into the abyss.

Hole 8, Round 1 (on my way to an opening 71 ugh) - led to a bogey I couldn't afford.
And then of course, Hole 12, Round 1 - a "straight" putt that was anything but. Folks, if you're putting a pin on a ridge, please practice putting on the ridge...I'm begging you...if it breaks when there's no way to see the break, I'm taking a full star off the rating. It's my biggest pet peeve about course design - the green grid just isn't fine enough to show the nuance of a ridge.
Second round was a 63. But that opening 71 hurt bad.
I liked a lot of the holes, wasn't too crazy about the 5I tee shot to an island hole, but I can see what the goal was.
