This week the web.com is proud to welcome you to Shrewsbury Fields-Shrewsbury, PA. A gentle week this week before we hit the evil greens of next weeks course.A little treat in terms of difficulty and what could be one of the easiest courses we have played this season. Not that it is with out its challenges, the bunker placement on this course is superb and a off line shot can be punished. When I first played this course, after around three holes, I said to myself, this course is a bit bland, by the time I got to the end, I could not say what the course looked like as the only thing I could remember was the quality of the course design, not the planting, not the background but the actual course it’s self. I did not know the designer at the time but quickly checked out his other courses and it was not long before I knew we had a talent on our hands. We have a second course by the designer coming in August and I get the feeling we will see more in the future. Someone that I played his courses with made the comment that this guy knows course design. Not the course designer but actual course design and that’s as good as a compliment as he could of got. So I hope you all enjoy this week, make the most of the gentle greens and of course have fun.

Same pin on 18 all 4 days but it didn't dampen my experience.. this course was fantastic. Be careful about shot placement because the wrong side of the hole will give you some nasty sidewinders. It's bland at first but it works very well. Good luck webbers!

Well....back again after another 2 round stint in the Euro tour missing the cut by a stroke. Glad to see some new faces and some old ones....primarily myself in the mirror. Loaded up Shrewsbury and gave it a go and much like the scheduler...I just was not feeling it early on. Nothing wrong with the course itself, just was not overly appealing to me from a visual standpoint. Battling a yacking wife and tempo, I thought about just stopping and playing another day about halfway through the first round. Every swing felt like a hope and pray and I found myself putting up some nasty benders which never seemed to find the cup the first time. Limped in -5 which considering the tempo issues and shitty putting was a miracle. Went ahead and played round two so I could take my strike and go about my week... After two pars I managed to eagle the 3rd hole and go on a 8 hole run of birdies in a row and found another five birdies before tapping in for a -13 in round two. Its simply amazing what can happen after you convince the wife there are one or two things in life better than watching me suffer (love ya...but you need to bounce!), stop fighting tempo, and not leave yourself nasty benders for birdie on every hole. I am not overly convinced -18 is a lock for making the cut and I am almost certain I will not catch the runaway freight train of scoring done in round 1 unless I get divorced between now and round 3. For now I will keep my Euro passport in the suitcase and see what happens.

Well you won Web the previous week, so that gets you a proper Euro card, not an exemption.....

Missed so many putts in round 1, and "limped" in with -7. This cut line is going to be pretty low, and after a -10 in round 2 I look to be squarely on the line.
Good luck all!

I am right there with you, -9 and -8 for me, felt like I should be about -12 both days, and won't be surprised to miss the cut at -17. Of course I've thought I would miss the cut every week so far (4th week I think) since making web.com tour, and managed to squeak in by a stroke or 2 every time. I went ahead and played 3 and 4, -10 both days, so finished at -37 if I make the cut. Felt like it should be more like -50 in this one though! On to next week!

Unfortunately for us with this being a relatively easy course I would expect the cut to be -19 or -20 but you never know. I just couldn't get things going this week and when you hit around 70% FIR & GIR, particularly on an easier course, it makes it tough; doubly so when your putting is . Looks like I'll have to wait until next week to try and redeem myself. Good luck to those yet to play / finish.

Next weeks course has some evil greens, not to many but some really nasty putts if above the hole so I expect a completely different cut line from this week, might be worth a practice round or two.

I almost always do multiple practice rounds to determine what clubs I want, and make a few notes along the way. One of my notes this week was know where to be to make birdie on every hole, scores will be ridiculous here. I guess I should have made a note to actually execute the shots as well, not just know where to be!

A bogey free -12 in the opener for me. No real adjustments in my pre round practice strategy. Expect cut line to be -19 or lower so thinking I may have a strong chance to play the weekend. We will see. There Are a lot of very strong players in this division now and Daniel does a great job at challenging us with course selection, As always good luck to those yet to finish.

Just finished my 4th rd and final score of -44 hopefully that will bring me back up to the Euro Tour I don't know for certain if it will..First rd shot -12 was happy with that then 2nd rd shot -14 delighted going strong at -26 for 2rds..Played my final 2rds tonight and rd 3 I shot -8 with a bogey or 2 thrown in didn't make me happy so I went ahead and played final rd and scored-10 with a few more bogeys to finish on my score..Hope them bogeys on final 2rds dont come back to haunt me for an Exemption.🍺🍺🍺time

Shot another 61 in round two. A bit of a scare when the score didn’t post for three hours. Submitted a ticket and Jeff sorted it out. All good.
