Wish I'd taken a week off!
Round one has left me with a mountain to climb to avoid a CC-D strike situation. Swing just fell to bits and left me hooking left randomly. That then knocked on to the putting which also was poor.
R1: 74(+2)

This is two tournaments in a row that I have thrown away a round. Just shot my second round and scored a 64! It’s a tough climb out the hole for sure though, but if I can maintain this thru the last 2 rounds I should be ok. You will too. ** it’s been 9hours since I posted this and my 2nd round has yet to be recorded yet. Anyone else experiencing this? **

My second round score has still not been updated. Never had to wait this long for a score to be recorded.

Bad to worse for me this week, a thoroughly deserved double strike looms.
R1: 74(+2) R2: 72(E) R3: 72(E) R4: 73: (+1)
Total: +3.
My first over-par tournament for quite some time, on a course that baffled me with its pin positions and green slopes, tee shot landing areas and long par 4s and 5s.
We were promised by the designer that if we chose the correct angles to attack the greens there'd be chances to score, yet in reality almost every hole has only one fairway landing area, which makes every approach shpt from the same angle. There's no variation to be had. I could be wrong but it seems to me to be a course built for Tour Clubs only, which makes its choice for CC-Am beyond my ken.
A course, I'm afraid to say, I'll never willingly play again. Sorry Jacob.

That’s not what I mean. You’re right that most of the time there’s one landing zone, but by angle I mean location on the green. As in, is it better to have a hole-high putt from 20 feet, or be just below the pin from 20 feet? Oh, and I playtested the course with player clubs, and was able to get to -10 nearly every time, which even though there was no wind to compete with, I was playing from longer tees than you guys were. So sorry about the wording of the first part, may have been confusing, but the second part is just not true.

R3 of of +1 and R4 -2 leave me on -6 for the tournament.
Annoying double on the 18th round 4 but probably about right for how I played. Couldn't repeat the -7 back 9 of round 2

Just finished my last 2 rounds of the tournament and carded a -6 and -8 for a final score of -30. That should get me a shot at an exemption, I managed to get 3 bogey free rounds in this tournament and just 1 bogey all in. Got the elusive eagle on R3 on the par 5 12th. I don't think I'll be challenging for top spot as the leaders are -19 at the halfway point. But another crack at CC-C could be on the cards if so I'll probably see you all in a week's time.

On most of the slopes on these greens, I'm not making any putts from 20 feet. I agree with Trusevich - there aren't a ton of *choices* that I see on this course. A few, but not many. When I think "choose your angles" I'm expecting different landing areas to set up better angles to the pin upon approach, places I can roll up to the pin instead of trying to get the ball to stop or back up to a tucked pin. I'm finding it a tough course. Will be playing Rd3/4 probably tomorrow night.

I’m away from home right now, but I’ll post what I mean later tonight.

Begining to feel what the word GRIND means every hole a GRIND for me on this course. R3 (70) -7 for the tourney this might be a short stay in e-vill. R4 tomorrow. Scores are not very low this week. Stay under par next round and it looks like you will avoid any strikes. It's another challenging course. I hit it into the water on #1 AND #2 to start my third round. Managed to get back to -1 for the round and -8 after three rounds.

Managed to get back to -1 for the round and -8 after three rounds. I went back to player clubs for the time being and had some bad swings in this one too. I lose my tempo because I forget to watch certain things in my swing, like backswing. Sometimes I start pushing shots to the right. One of my big problems STILL is loft and wind adjustments, player clubs take a little of the sting out of a bad swing.
