By the way... why'd you have to consistently drain your chips? It threw me off my game so much that I missed easy putts ... #Steamupdate Lol sorry about that. That’s why I don’t play with ghosts. (Occasionally I do when playing just for fun, never in the official events though) I get too distracted by them. Or get in the race to catch up mode if they are ahead of me. Playing with the ghosts that are direct competitors can inspire your play, especially in a final round. Stick turn order on and try and forget the fact you know what they scored.

I typically choose to play with a ghost if I'm playing by myself but I don't pay any attention to their score. Generally I just use it as a reference to see what types of shots someone else plays and it helps me make decisions. Occasionally I will get a free read on a putt too.
My opinion on ghosts is that is can be a helpful aid to have one on but for your own good just ignore the score. Playing like you are going "head to head" with someone might cause you to be overly aggressive and ultimately lose strokes.

My problem with ghosts is they distract me. Unless I’m playing live with someone else, I just don’t use them.

Unless I’m playing live with someone else, I just don’t use them. do they yell "Jackass!" during your backswing and then "Mashed Potatoes!" as you slice one into another area code? maybe crack open a cold beer as you are lined up to putt and let one rip to break the silence? do they drive a Volkswagen out onto the fairway and hit you with it? do they repeatedly play Africa by Toto on a bluetooth speaker in their golf cart because they just LOVE that song? Just giving you crap bud. LOL. I had no idea where I was going with this. Just admit that you don't use them because you're terrified of ghosts

I don't use the ghosts, as a tool, at all. As soon as they've hit, I'm straight onto the TV camera shots.
It does help me raise my game, though, and it certainly concentrates the mind - especially in a tense finale.

Here on exemption from D which I earned exemption to from E.... I have found this course to be tough. R1(+2) R2 (-1)
Going to need to have a serious turn of luck in the remaining 2 rounds if I have any chance of staying in CC-C. However, it’s good to get the experience in the CC-Pro and im making the most of it!
Good luck out there!

I'll watch the rollout on the ghost's ball and sometimes it helps identify a break or a rollout that I might have missed. Plus, you get the odd read on a putt from time to time.

On CC-B had an utterly horrible 1st round. Fairly decent on the 2nd and on the 3rd, not so good, but still broke par. I did find myself in a situation that some will accuse me of the C word, but it is within the rules as stated by the Info, Rules, And Policies document. Below is what happened.

Huh, I always thought it was illegal if your line is unobstructed, and it’s your fault for leaving such a long putt, but just took a look at the rules and man, that would’ve saved me some strokes a while back haha....

The putting rule was changed when TGCT resumed during season 3 at the outset of TGC2. tgctours.proboards.com/thread/12490/mega-update-thread-school-etc

I can think of 2 times I've had to chip on the green while on the tours. The first time my line was obstructed. The second time I had a putt well over 100 ft. Unfortunately, as I recall, my flop did't even make it half way to the cup lol. But definitely glad I read all the rules.
As for my first round in CC-A, it went pretty well! A bogey free 62 (-9) felt good. To be honest I didn't hit many greens in regulation but the ones I did I made count! A super lucky flop shot over the greenside bunker on 18 holed out for me.
The course seems like it would be simple because it looks nice and open off the tees, but with strong winds it makes you think out there. I really enjoyed it though.

However, it’s good to get the experience in the CC-Pro and im making the most of it! Good luck out there! Way to go on the exemption jumps! The pro experience is really good here. I am sort of in the same spot as you are, pretty strong in CC-D and up and down in CC - Pro. One thing I took away from D with playing so many tournies, was to just golf. You know you can make the shot, so I learned to not let the fact that I was in a tournie freak me out. My first 2 or 3 tournies, my eyelids were sweating!!! and I was a mess. Now, its no big deal I still get mad when I miss my shots, but staying mentally under control is sometimes way more important than a Perfect Perfect. I play on PC kcfox if you are ever looking to practice. Another friend in the league and I practice about every other day. I have a discord server set up as well for chat when we play if you care to join in. Good luck out there and see you on the greens.

Finished rounds 3 & 4 tonight. I can't help but feel a bit frustrated with my play. The tempo wasn't there and I gave away more strokes than I would have liked to...can't remember exactly but must have had about three or four 3-putts tonight or missed shorties. Playing the final 3 holes at a combined 8-under over the last 2 rounds really helped (eagled #17 both rounds) so at least I finished strong. I won't go as far as to blame the oddities that happened to me over the course of tournament, but I did have this happen to me while I was already on tilt and playing angrily. steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1409526419Decided to layup, and hit a poor pitch leading to a par... doooohhh Overall, played decent, hopefully it will be enough to stay up in CC-A. R3: -7 R4: -8 Total: - 27

Played a practice round last night a few holes behind CiB0RG (who shot a tidy -9 for round 1 on his Fonzie Tour exemption). I really like the course, but I'm leaving town Thursday not returning till Monday night.
Sure it's a good course for speed golf, but I lose focus after anymore than 2 rounds.
Decisions, decisions (sorry, not meaning to sound like some here that rant for attention, just thinking out loud)
And YES, I moved my post. WhattaboobIyam!
