Week 1 course vote will be up in a few minutes. (Can't vote via Tapatalk, must be on TGCT website). I'll do this a few times this season.
Let's see who's following the thread and getting updates
Test the courses out and vote. Most votes is the course play for week 1. (Tie means El Presidente votes to break the tie)
Voting will lock at 7pm EST Sunday, January 27th.

Welcome to season 3 of the non-society, cross platform 24K Gold Team Tournament, which will begin on Monday, January 28th. There will be 72 players divided into 36 teams of 2. The teams will be split into two leagues, with two divisions in each league: the Golden Bear League (18 teams, 9 teams in the North and 9 teams in the South; top 5 teams in each division qualify for the playoffs, subject to updates) and the Shark League (18 teams, 9 teams in the East and 9 teams in the West; top 5 teams in each division qualify for the playoffs, subject to updates). I'm still working out the playoff scenarios so this is subject to change but will update you all when it's figured out. Each team will play a total of 9 matches against the other teams in their league. (Not every team is guaranteed to play each other in their respective league/divisions). At the end of the regular season, the top 20 teams (tentative; see disbursement of playoff teams per league above) will make the playoffs with the winners of each league eventually meeting in the Championship Final. All matches will be played over 36 holes of stroke play (One course, two different pre-selected tees/pin sets and required settings specified each week) with teammates scores being combined. The lowest scoring team will receive 10 points. Both teams will receive 5 points each in the event of a tie.
Also during season 3, I bring a return to the extremely popular individual tournament which will run alongside the team tournament. The top 6 individual two round scores each week will receive points. The player with the best individual two round score will receive 100 points, 2nd best will get 90 points, and so on down until the 6th best score, which receives 50 points. After this, there will be a "range" of scores that will receive 40 points, 30 points, all the way down to 10 points. All players points will be added up throughout the season and at the end of the regular season the top 32 players with the most points will make the playoffs. (Amount of players subject to change). Matchups and seeding will be determined at a later date. Course venues will be determined in the future. This season long tournament will be known as the Aluminum Cup Series.
Standings/matchups/ACS points leaders/etc will be updated every MONDAY MORNING as a continuation of this ongoing thread (EST, usually by 11AM or so) so rounds will be able to be played at some point on MONDAY AFTERNOON to LATE SUNDAY NIGHT (scores must be submitted by 11PM Eastern Standard Time). Sometimes I may get scoring updated earlier. Long story short, if you see the match-ups and venue posted on Monday, you’re free to begin for the week.
Please take a moment to read the subsequent posts which will have the score submission template language/screenshot requirements, rules and team assignments. Week 1 matchups will be posted by Monday morning, January 28th.

TOURNAMENT RULES/ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS (Will be updated the more I think of them):
1) At registration, you were asked to choose a club set to stick with. Please use the club set you specified at registration. If there are any extenuating circumstances that may make you wish to choose club sets, please direct message me to discuss.
2) Have fun, dammit because you know what? This is a fun tournament.
3) Be loyal to your teammate and this tournament. Communicate with your teammate. Respect that there are varying levels of talent in this tournament. (Teams have been selected to the best of my ability in order to provide opportunity for every team to excel at some point during the season. That being said, everyone can't get a cookie each week. There will be great teams and not so great teams. Enjoy the competitive, yet fun nature of this tournament).
4) PLEASE follow the posting guidelines I’ve set up. It will make my life easier and will make the single thread format flow better. It is also easier for other players to follow the thread/score submissions, etc.
5) Please adhere to the TGCT rules of putting, specifically no chipping on the greens (less than 100 feet) and chipping allowed if over 100 feet or a fringe obstruction.
6) Practice rounds MAY be played (no need to change to Stableford scoring), on any tee but must use the pin locations I will indicate at the beginning of each week. This (hopefully) will eliminate multiple round playing with the “best” score submitted. This is a gentleman's sport and I ask you to adhere to gentleman's rules. No starting over a round, modifying course conditions to make more favorable, etc. I will not be issuing reminders for those who haven't submitted scores. We're all adults and should know what a deadline is. That score deadline is upheld. For any extenuating circumstances, please direct message me and we will certainly discuss!
7) We have numerous alternate players at this time (I may also play as an alternate too in the event I can't secure another alternate). If you're not able to play your rounds, I recommend that direct message me, along with your teammate, well in advance of the score submission deadline. I'll then send out messages to our alternates and check for availability. (Alternate must play BOTH rounds, can’t be “split”) Alternate may only play rounds ONE TIME for any given team for each week. First come, first served. If the alternate isn’t available for one team, he shouldn’t be available for another team.
8) Constructive criticism of a course within the thread is more than acceptable, I just ask that you explain why. Same goes with compliments. Tell us all why. It’s great feedback. Critique of the designer, outside of the level of constructive, or constant complaints about my choice of courses will not be tolerated and discussion will occur via direct message. Critique of a teammate will not be tolerated. Any issues or concerns will be discussed with me via direct message.

FORMAT FOR POSTING SCORES:
ALWAYS REMEMBER: Take a screenshot of your scorecard at the end of EACH round. You can play a round on one night and then another round a few days later, as long as the scores are submitted each Sunday night by 11pm EST. Save both of your pictures and then upload as ONE POST.
Please do not "hold" score submissions. Once you've played your two rounds, upload your screenshots as soon as possible. No excuses if you "forget" to submit scores by deadline, even if the rounds were played.
Scores for BOTH ROUNDS (including screenshots) should be posted at ONE TIME (reduces the amount of time I need to search for/follow team scores). For those of you who, in season 2, played their own ghost in the first round and submitted both scores in one screenshot, I'm okay with this method too, but be aware of a scoring glitch on hole 18, which I'm not sure was ever resolved).
Please follow this template submission below: Copy and paste it somewhere, if that helps.
Week X
Team X (vs team X)
First and Last Name
Round 1 (tee + pin #) score
Round 2 (tee+ pin #) score
Total for both rounds: score
Screenshots for both rounds will go below the information posted above. Following in this order will make it very easy for me, as well as the rest of the group to follow score submissions. Also, I'm verifying each post to make sure the correct tees and pins have been played, in the correct order. Feel free to discuss your rounds after all of this information has been posted first and foremost.
