XB1 Match Play Society
You will be placed in Round Robin Groups of ? number of players. The groups will be divided between two divisions. One PRO and One PRO-AM. You will play ? rounds of HEAD UP match play against the other ? players in your group. You will receive points based on your finish each match. The scoring rules are outlined on the spread sheet located on the bottom of this page.Once the ? rounds have been completed the top ? in each bracket will advance to the round of ?. (Knockout Bracket) It will be a single elimination tourney to crown the XB1 Match Play Champion!
Match Play Rules:
For the Match Play rounds, you will play your round in the society. However, you will need to either screen shot your round, or post your score hole by hole on the this thread! ( Failure to post on here will result in a forfeit.)
Best options:
1. Play your opponent 'live' head to head turn order. This can be done by friending each other on xbox, setting a time to play, and enjoy some good ole fashion live match play!! (One player will then post a screen shot of the card with both players scores)
2. Search for your opponents ghost and play that ghost. You will need to be aware of the date played to make sure that ghost score is the one used in our society. Play the ghost, and post the score card with both players on one card.
3. "I don't know how to post a screen shot" These non-computer literate individuals can post their scores hole by hole. 3-5-4-4-3- and so on. If you are one of these people, first try to use option 1 (Live with opponent) or let your opponent know when you have played, and they can use option 2 (Play your ghost). If all else fails use option 3.(Post your score hole by hole.) 4. Don't have time for any of the above? Just post a screen shot of your round.
*****Please try to post your score on here asap after completing your round. This will make it easier for your opponent to know you have finished, and find your ghost.*****
Two Divisions
Pro Division: Web, Euro, PGA, and World Tours.
Pro-Am Division: All CC-Players from CC-A to CC-Z
Society requirements
1. Must be on XB1
2. Should be active on TGCTours, or in good standing with TGCT (This is so we know you are playing by TGCT rules and have passed the API). Exceptions for known legit players will be accepted.
3. MUST be active on TGCT forums to be eligible for Match Play.
Society rules will mimic the standards put forth by TGCT.
This includes putting on greens, and the tiebreaker system. (See TGCT rules on main site)

Thanks for doing this Robert. I am excited to get started. Remember if you need any help do not hesitate to let me know. I do not want you to have to deal with any "stuff" alone. I have your back if you need anything! Thanks again and I will keep a look out on the Society page to see when this will kick off! 🤞 ⛳️ 🍻

It shouldn't require a lot of work since it's in a society, the only issues would be with the match play portion, but I think it will work it's self out.
I will need course suggestions as we go. I will request a list of favorite courses from all members when we approach season two. I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get this going as soon as tonight.

What's the society name Robert? My humble opinion is to wait and get more than the 8 you wish to have to start. I think 20+ would be awesome and I think you can attain that easily.

My thought is if there at least 8 you can finish a season with match play. Also, I figure since you only need to play in 4 of the 7 events, people will continue to join over the first two events. The key will be to get people to join. Ultimate goal is to have 32+ members.

Sounds awesome. My only issue/concern will be having a slot available for the society. I will have to make a note to jump in and out of your society, as a few of mine require a registration submission and approval process.

The good thing is we play once every 3 days, and you only have to play 4 of the 7 to be eligible for match play. If you work it in great, if not I understand

Ok, you twisted my arm. I just hope I am not getting myself "overcommitted" but it sounds like FUN!
