inflames47 Thanks again for selecting Atchafalaya Isle as one of your courses. I'm happy to hear people enjoyed the course. Looks like the scores got very low.

Results for Greens @ Clearwater Clay designed by B.Smooth13 66 Entered / 42 completed course- Extremely interesting course with lots of Sand to catch those wayward shots. Greens were very challenging for an average player like me. All in all I think most enjoyed the course, I know I had lots of fun and lots of #"xx!!! on the course! Many Thanks for some great fun and great design! gemini took the win, is that 3 in a row? Someone needs to check his bag! Next 2 courses are a Father and Son Team: Biglou (I don't know your tag) / Excelsior Isle GC and webbo8585 / Damplar Park Golf Club It will be interesting to see each design and how these 2 gentlemen vary in course designing. Have fun and enjoy!

Results for Damplar Park Golf Club by webbo8585 63 Entered 45 Completed We had major battle going on between players gemini , Theopen and unclevirt Boy they gentlemen are damn(plar) good! gemini is on a roll lately , who will be the one to take him down? I found no complaints on this course but I will say I did not set back tees, I felt it was very challenging just on green and some of the holes we a bit long for the average joe Pro clubs and might have been a bit out of reach on back tees. Great design but designers must keep in mind not all play Master clubs when designing hole lengths.

Nice going Gemini, thanks for the setting the courses as always Carol and I agree with you, the course played tough enough from the non-back tees. I had fun though!

I have not posted up the last 2 results, been a bit on the tired side here, must mean winter is coming! I do have a question for ALL who read this.. What clubs do you carry in your bag? Do you switch up clubs for different courses or stick with the same knowing how they react? Inquiring minds want to know (thats' me, and perhaps a few others )

I have gone through different variations ... tried hybrids, but they're too hard to control (loft, lol) and are pretty useless out of the heavy rough. I also tried to cover as many distances as possible. I've used this combination for a while now:
D - 2W - 1I - 3I - 5-9I - P/G/S/L wedges
Sometimes not having those middle distance clubs (2I and 4I) really bite me in the @$$, but I've adjusted and have decent results. Regardless, I'd sure like to see what some others are using as well!

I never change clubs, every time I've tried it's completely backfired. This is something I talked about in one of the WGO segments I did for the guys, but to me it's best to just play what you know rather than try to switching things up. I think you'll find the majority of folks playing with all wedges, 9i-5i, either 2i or 1i, 2w, & Driver. So really the variation you get between most, on PGA at least (again, I think...most), is whether they have a club that stock carries 235 (1i) or 225 (2i). I choose the latter. I have 100% been caught out on certain courses - especially long ones that we play on PGA - when I needed a 234/235 carry for like 3 or 4 shots per round, but I still believe that round-2-round variability in winds usually doesn't mean that exact distance is what you need.
I'm probably in the minority of folks who use the 2i instead of the 1i, but it's just what I've always had, it's comfortable, I like having a smaller gap in coverage that goes all the way through 225 without skipping another 10yds, so I stick with it. I've gotten decent at rope-hooking a 2w to get it to play shots in that 240-245ish range, but conditions have to be right and it's not easy to start on line, very risky play if there's any trouble to be had around the target...but it's fun to try!
I did carry the 3i (I think...214 carry) for a while, but when I hit a low-point in performance a few weeks back, I went back to my old school tgc2 setup and swapped it for the 2h (or 3h or 4h, I honestly can't remember which club is which, just how far they go...this one carries 211) and haven't really thought about messing with it since, despite feeling like irons are more work-able in terms of moderating distance with draw/fade/loft than hybrids, and better out of rough (which is completely ass-backwards if this game is supposed to mirror irl), it's purely a comfort thing - plus every time I don't have the 211 hybrid and get to a par3 that's in the 218-222yd range that I need to land around 210, I kick myself for not having it
So in sum, right now my bag is, in yardages which is how I think about it: 94/108/122/136/148/160/172/183/194/211/225/253/285
My comfortable range of carry yardages (go-to shots depending on circumstance) for those clubs using a moderate (not max/min) amount of loft is (approximate distances): 94(88-100)/108(102-114)/122(115-128)/136(130-140)/148(143-153)/160(156-163)/172(168-175)/183(+/- couple of yards)/194(+/- couple of yards)/211(hook-and-hope)/225(hook-n-hope v2)/253(hook-n-hope champ)/285(+a few yards if uplofted). Circumstances vary, and if I need a yardage that isn't covered within those listed, I can always go a bit more/less loft, just have to be super accurate with the swing, which isn't happening very much these days!

Not really sure what my clubs are tbh but I know the distances. My distances are 94, 108, 122, 136, 148, 160, 172, 183, 194, 203, 226, 253 and 285 so I if I had to guess that's Lob, sand, gap, pdub, 9-4, 5wood, 2wood and Driver!....and of course the putter(;

Yeah haha, I noticed that you use a 211 club and I might look into it. I have honestly never even thought about changing clubs in this game from the moment I started playing it. I'm pretty confident that everywhere else is solid in terms of my club selection but I might switch to that 2i instead of a 3i.

Here's another hybrids fan : D - 2W - 2H - 5H - 5-9I - P/G/S/L
Somtimes I miss a club around the 200/205 yds, but I mange with those.

I copied Justin's bag from his WGO episode because, well, he is so much better than me. Has it helped? Meh, not good enough to matter IMO.
