Hello my name is Greg and I'm new to the forum. I was just wondering if there are WGC Events or Majors on the CC Tour? If there are not, why? I love what you guys have done with this Web site and all that goes into it. My dad and I joined about 3 months ago I think and love checking in and see how we are doing each week. Some of these scores we see are absolutely amazing and just don't see ourselves ever making it to any of the real tours I guess you would call them. Currently I'm on the CC-C Tour and haven't ever been in the top 3. With that said I think it would be awesome to also play in Majors like the top Tours do. If there are majors on the CC TOURS please disregard this. Again thanks to anyone who reply so I can understand more of how this whole Tour and website works. Thanks

The Challenge Circuit is kind of a made up tour, that’s why we don’t have the WGC events or stuff like that. The World Tour is essentially the real life PGA. The PGA is kind of like the World Tour, with replacement events for the majors. The European Tour is based on the real life Euro, and the web.com is, you guessed it, based off of the real web.com. The CC was created to have more separation of talent levels, so it doesn’t have a real life counterpart and the event names are mostly created my members a while in advance. Now, that said, we do have majors with bigger purses, but I can’t think of which weeks they are off the top of my head. I’ll edit this post when I get more info.
Good luck out there!
EDIT- CC-Pro Majors (A-C) Chubbs Peterson Memorial (W12) Bushwood Open (W26) Romeo Pasar Invitational (W30) Ty Webb Classic (W44)
CC-Am Majors (D-Z) Eli's Tournament (W12) Drive for Show Putt for Dough Open Championship (W26) Payne Stewart Memorial (W30) Gord Downie Memorial (W44)

I joined tgc1 in March and played in cc-c. There were majors in the PGA and Euro tour equivalent to the 4 real life majors. In the challenge circuit each level, cc-a, cc-b, cc-c, cc-d, cc-e and cc_z. had a qualifying event with the top 3 gaining an entry. Dunno if they're replicating now we've moved over to tgc2?

While CC does have their own "major" tourneys, I believe cc-ers can only qualify for the 2 "Open" majors on the pro tour.

Challenge Circuit majors are worth double points and feature a double purse.
Challenge Circuit players can also qualify to play in The Masters and PGA Championship as Amateurs. Qualifying Tournaments are on the CC schedule (weeks 23 and 41).

The PGA is the only major where NO amateurs EVER qualify in real life - so surely there should be chances to qualify for the Open and US Open, but not the PGA!!!!

The US Open and The Open Championship qualifying are not handled through the CC-Pro or CC-Am schedules, but yes, everyone typically has a chance to qualify. I'll ask Scott for clarification on what the reward is during week 41 (PGA Championship Qualifying Tournament).

It’s kind of weird, but that’s how it’s worked in the past. Masters and PGA are on the CC schedule and I believe in the past the US Open has been as well (correct me if I’m wrong) and the Open is on the Euro Tour.

US and The Open both had qualifying open to all TGCT members not earning an automatic qualification. The other two majors I am less clear about. AFAIK this year The Masters only had one addition to the field and it was a tournament director's decision. The PGA Champ...
