ScorecardRD1 Aaron Townsend - Townsend V Cockerill Oaken Hills - 48 Points. - Actually disappointed not to break the 50 point barrier, had quite a few chances that missed that would have pushed me over it. Nice shooting...but thought Rd 2 was at Sherman Oaks, not Oaken Hills. Did I miss something?

ScorecardRD1 Aaron Townsend - Townsend V Cockerill Oaken Hills - 48 Points. - Actually disappointed not to break the 50 point barrier, had quite a few chances that missed that would have pushed me over it. Played A Townsend ghost at Oaken Hills with the turn order on. Was fun to go shot for shot with him. I knew he had some luck his side when he hit a rock on the first tee and it bounced forward 30y and right in the middle of the fairway, lol. He should have had an ace on 5 but it somehow stayed out of the hole. It was a great shot with a 16mph x-wind. We had dueling eagles on 13, although his was a bomb. I couldn’t buy too man birds on the back and his back 9 was too much for me. Great shooting. Fantastic course though, loved it! Round 1 @ Oaken Hills - 46 on to round 2...

Cheers Buddy, would you believe me if i said I was aiming for the rocks, it was the only place I would have been able to get over.. lol. Hit the pin and stayed out just to tease me on that nearly ace. lol, everything just stuck on that back 9, made it a little easier for the putts.

Good Luck to my opponent, I feel like this is gonna be mighty close!!. Was a great battle out there on a great course. We must have been playing at the same time as I looked for the ghost but there was nothing there when I started. 25 points on the front and I was feeling pretty good. Then started well on the back and made a huge mess of 13. Zero points on that hole and I knew I was back in a hole. Make 3 birds in a row on 14-16. Needed to bird the last 2 to win. Big slider on 17 drops for bird. Then had this approach to the par 5 18th. Ended up with 48 points. Well played match there, was a very nerve wracking back 9 on another great course....thanks Curtis
