Best of luck to the "E" crew with my course. The course should play fair for all clubsets, but after seeing someone play standard clubs, I've realized that player and certainly tour will have an advantage. Winds are up, but it's pretty wide open, so if you've been considering moving up to tour clubs, this may be the week to try it. Good luck out there!

Just an update: I just finished my first round, got even par. Considering my skilll level, this is definitely not bad. (Also totally random, but if anyone can direct me to the post or whatever else that explains how to get my tour card in my signature, that would be greatly appreciated )

Started off 1 over, got back to -2 by the turnaround, dropped two shots on 10 and 11 to go even. Birdie, bogey trade off keeps me at even. Birdie the last four holes for a very surprising 68 (-4). It's a funny ol' game.

What a turn around from last week, which saw me earn a double strike Finished round 1 at 69 (-3) after getting 3 bogeys in the first 4 holes. My play improved greatly after that and the scorecard looked decent (to me) on the back nine, with a few par saves in tricky situations. My highlight, for sure, was a 41' putt for eagle which seemed to really start off a good string of holes. I'll be playing rounds 2-4 throughout the rest of the week and hope I have consistent performance so I can clear out the two strikes I got last week!

Finished my second round today. Got a score of -2. I’m definitely improving and I’m hoping to get rid of my double strikes this week!!

Followed up my surprising first round -4 with a disappointing, disjointed +3 in round 2. Swing just wasn't right at all, hooking left all the time.
On a happier note, it's now been 7 rounds in a row since I've recorded a double bogey. Looks like there's some consistency creeping in to my game, despite the endless struggle with the hook.

Well I already lost all the confidence I had for this season, and I'm pretty sure I'm going to get demoted to CC-Z. I ALWAYS have 2 first decent rounds, and then I ruin the slight chance I have of missing the strike line with my last 2 rounds. I haven't gotten any better since I got this game and I don't even know how to improve anymore. Ugh. Sorry. vent over.

I like the E group. Seems like the CC-D chat thread is kind of a ghost town. Very friendly group here, hope you guys are crushing it.

Shoot him a message he was real nice about it. Hope this helps KC

From a birdie chance on 18 that would have taken me to -20, to a double bogey. Can't complain with 66, 66, 67, but oh what could have been. Golf, eh?

Just finished the second tournament. I scored 70, 70, 69, 69 for a 10 under. I'm really happy with the last round. At one point I was +2 on the front nine but was able to chip in for eagle to get back to even par. I went on to bogey the 10th before scoring birdies on 4 of the last 5 holes.
I thought the course was fair. It was very open off the tees, but if you did miss you paid for it, hence the bogey on 10. The winds and slopes made it hard to get it close on several of the holes but taking advantage of the par 5s is very important at this course. I look forward to seeing where I finish. I was happy to finish in the top 45 last week in my first tournament and would like to be top 30 this week, but I feel like a lot of people will end up scoring well this week.

Disastrous 2nd and 3rd rounds from me, dropped way down and staring an inevitable demotion strike in the face now. Finished at +3. Still no double bogeys though!

Well, after sitting at 4 over after 3 rounds and feeling like I had a chance to scramble over the line to clear my strike from last week my day turned to poo.
I was 10 over after 4 holes but optimistic and struggled back to something reasonably respectable at the end of the first nine and hopeful for damage limitation with a worst case scenario of another strike. How wrong I was.
After leaving the PC after completing the 14th to take a phone call and then getting into a conversation with family who had just arrived I came back to find my grandson and his father finishing my round with a bogey, triple bogey, double bogey and quite a distance from the pin having played 4 on the par 5 last.
I shut down the PC intending to not play out the round but they just left so I completed it for an 84.
Two more demotion strikes.
I'll be in CC-Z in weeks (days if they come round next week).
