Got +2 in Round 1 Got +8 in Round 2 .... UGHHHHHHHH Just put me in CC-Z already xD I feel you. I've finished 3 rounds so far and my scores are: +6 / +12 / +5 for a total of +23. I am losing so many strokes on putting, so hope to see these scores go down as I get more practice in. Rounds 1 & 2 were played with Player clubs before I switched to Tour clubs for Round 3, strangely enough. I'll be sticking to Tour clubs here on out, as I'd rather get practice in on Tour clubs now rather than later.

Super frustrating! Shot a -6 on the first round and felt good. Shot a frustrating +6 on the second to get back to E
I looked at my stats and apparently my driving accuracy, and GIR were all higher, but I had 11 more putts which killed me.
Hoping I can stay level and finish top half

If anyone is looking to put in practice rounds for any of the up and coming events, pm me here or look me up on steam. I usually try to get in 2 rounds a day on different pin locations Tues - Saturday and play my tournie rounds on Sunday evenings pacific time, and Monday. Then start the cycle again. I practice with a friend of mine who is in D and we use Ventrilo voice chat. Its really good because we caddie each other and take different approaches to the holes the first few days then dial it in on the last few days of practice. If anyone is interested I can give you the server info and download info if necessary. Its a small client and some of you may even have it. I have leased a server for years so its all good.
Good luck out there Ladies and Gents, see you on the greens.

One does not just simply change club sets mid-event.

Hey, does anyone have any information on the course for week 2? I'm in dire need of a warm up round or 50

The greens are fast on this course, eh? Strangely enough though, I've found it's suited me quite well. Hard to get near the hole on approach with a lot of holes, I've found, but my putter has saved me maybe five-to-eight strokes, holing out from 15-25 feet. My chipping and pitching has been terrible though - the raised greens are killing me.
-10 after three rounds, chasing an exemption. Reckon I'll need to shoot 64 or 65, which may well be beyond me.
Enjoyed the course though, probably my favourite in TGC2 up to now.

The greens are fast on this course, eh? Nope, they're 187 which is the fastest setting, but the speed of the ball on the green is slowed by the softness of the green itself, I'm led to believe. I even believe that the fairway softness has a bearing on green speeds too. A real test would be a 187/firm green. We're not allowed them on CC-Am in case they make us cry. And we would.

Green firmness affects how hard the ball bounces and how much speed the ball loses when it lands. Softer greens cause the ball to lose speed when it bounces, and it causes the ball to not bounce as high or far.
Green speed affects how quickly a ball will slow down while it is rolling.
When putting, the ball is rolling the whole time, so green firmness has no impact.
In TGC1, the green fringe used to cause obscene amounts of bounce if the fairways were firm, but that seems to be gone now and green fringe behaves like a very slow green.

A real test would be a 187/firm green. We're not allowed them on CC-Am in case they make us cry. And we would. Firmness in TGC2 has been toned down from TGC1. The maximum firmness setting isn't nearly as hard as it was in TGC1 (and soft greens aren't nearly as soft, either). Max-speed greens in TGC2 do cause balls to roll father downhill than they did in TGC1.

72-68-73-71.
Even par for comp but gutted as dropped two on 17th on last round whish cost being under.
3rd Round was poor but that day I played terrible in the intrepid society pairs....one of those days that keeps rearing it's head.

Good to hear it's not just me who has 'those' days. I was -9 after 2 rounds here but then imploded to +1 by the finish. At least we're both above the strike line. There's always the next one mate.
