After speaking to Duds, who used to set a divisional banter thread each event, then the idea, because of low post counts in past, is now to have this one thread and i will post the new event each week for members to chat about anything relevant to that particular competition throughout the season. I am only doing this as Duds is due to be absent from here in a few months time. Please just chat away ;-) WEEK 1 :Billy Mays Memorial...... The Bass Pro Fall Classic @ The Kenzatillie Club

Thanks bubbsboy for continuing these threads ... it's what makes playing in these tournaments all that much more exciting!!
Can't wait for season 4 to start to tomorrow. I am hoping to, at one time or another, to get promoted to D sometime during this season. It is my goal. All of season 3, was in E ... time to move up !!
Good luck to all !!!

I just hope to stop missing putts by inches and always low side of the cup - 4 to 5 per round. If I can fix that don't care whether I'm in Z or any other flight. Come to think of it if I can fix it I'll probably be higher than E where i currently languish

I’ll start off Season 4:
The Bass Pro Fall Classic at The Kenzatillie Club
To preface, I can’t abide by fishing, unless it’s Titlests from water hazards, so I’m already behind the 8-ball. Second, I rangered Kenzatillie (hated it), played it in Intrepid events (and sucked), and shuddered when I set it up in the PS4 practice society (plenty of room, PS4 CC-AMers!!) Tried a round with Tour clubs and was victimized by the super dry and fast conditions. Ugh... this was going to be a rotten start. In all my rounds in this course, breaking even was an achievement for me. Ready to take my lumps, I thought “play it safe” and snagged my Players clubs.
Who knew...
Highlights were many, but the serious standout (check out the scorecard when the 3rd round is posted) was on said round 3, where I birdied the entire front nine. It was stupid and glorious, sitting -9 at the turn. Stopped at the clubhouse and bought everybody rounds, then had 3 for myself, which brought me back down to earth, but carded a great round regardless.
Round 4 was highlighted by what I call “The Devil’s Shoreline”, namely holes 14, 15, and 16. Practice rounds all went belly up on those three and ruined my games completely. Well on Round 4, I was mere inches away from ace, eagle, eagle. Managed birdie, eagle, birdie to send me down the backstretch in fine fashion.
Check it out:
-3 68 -4 67 -7 64 -4 67
Final -18
The game is not broken. It’s all of us. Well, chipping is still a mystery, but...
Good luck everyone!
P.S. I still hate the course. Respect it, yes. Love it, feck no... #18 is the devil incarnate

Well done Mark, you have probably made one of the biggest leaps forward of anyone in the game recently. I was fairly happy with my Rd 1 score of + 1 given that I had two double bogeys in the first three holes. I will be playing Rd 2 tomorrow. Good luck everyone.

About same here ninja. Four bogies and a birdie on first 6 holes but settled down. Back 9 was all pars till birdy on 18th. In truth I had a few good puts to save so was scrambling.
A 72 (+1).

Thanks, Ninja - my involvement in your events has certainly made me think about how to approach each setup and the competitive environments have helped my game tremendously. Thanks for all you do, brother!

Started out in nervous mode, but threw on the mellow tunes and cruised in for an over all of -24. I am hoping to see CC-D sooner than later. Good luck all!
68 -3 62 -9 (woot!) 65 -6 65 -6
I am trying to keep an average of 3 birdies on the front and 3 birdies on the back to stay competitive.

I'm over this. 12 shot turn around between round 1 and 2.
Cruised into 4 under only to follow up with an 8 over.
Ball magnetically attracted to water and sand - must have thought it was on vacation.
Need to find out how to get rid of the ghost that seems to invariably get in the way when putting. Any thoughts on how to do this appreciated because I'm out of ideas.

Had a fairly uneventful first round, two bogeys, two birdies and an awful lot of pars for a 71(0). Don't particularly care for the course, greens too slow because of their softness and too tricky because of their slopes. Guess the trick is to hit the ball into the hole. . .

Hey all, I joined 3 weeks before the break, never played before but held my own in CCE with a couple of top 30s. Managed to shoot 67&66 for R1&2 here and thought I may be in the mix until I saw the epic -24 by kcfox above. Great scoring dude. Hopefully get 2 more mid-low 60s and get an exemption. From experience though, I'll probably chuck in a 75 and finish just outside. Play well all.

Thought I was onto a good thing but the winds on round four blew my hopes away. Ach well. I'd have taken a -6 if it was offered beforehand. Should keep me away from the strike zone? Maybe rushing through those three rounds in one sitting wasn't such a great idea after all. Had to be done though, time is gonna be limited with GT Sport arriving tomorrow.

Not proud of this at all, started off okay then downhill from there. 72, 73, 76, 85 - you do the math ... good for a strike or two. Lets just say round four ... never have more than one SoCo.

Just wanted to start off by saying, I'm very glad to be here. I heard about this place on Operation Sports and decided to sign up for this season. I just finished my first tournament.
1st Round: 74 2nd Round: 70 3rd Round: 73 4th Round: 70
My scores were rather consistent, just missed a few putts here and there and put myself in a bad spot off the tee on a few holes. I'm really enjoying being a part of this and I look forward to having a great season. Best of luck!

Round 2 in calmer conditions
6 birds and 3 bogies for a 68.
That's 2 under after two rounds.
Not gonna trouble leaders but hopefully can stay clear of strikes. Feel I need to score well in last two rounds though.
