Yay, I'm back on an exemption, hopefully my stay is longer than last time. So far, -3 after one. The putts just weren't falling this round for me. Good luck out there! So frustrating. Gonna miss the cut by 1. I triple bogie hole one and lip out an eagle on 18. So many opportunities, so many lip outs. Until we meet again CC-D, until we meet again.

Just letting thread roll folks, no need for me to be putting courses on each week, just banter away.

Triples are incredibly frustrating for me too, as they almost always come off the back of my breaking my self imposed rule. Don't play the shot I think I can make, play the one I know I can make. Trouble is, in the heat of the moment when that green is a risky shot away from a possible eagle putt and I think "it must be time I made one of these" without remembering the odds are the same - the course has no memory - and it's a 10% shot precisely because I will miss it in 90 tries out of every 100. The designers know this. Good luck to you getting back. I'm trying to get an exemption into CC-C now.

Found some holes killed me and had to scramble a -1 first round.
Can't see me finishing above clear strikes so will be back to E after this week I feel.
But will see as I was invited in here after I started poor last week.
Edit....-2 second round.
That ball keeps rolling off fairway pfft.

Thats real unlucky mate, bet damn triple was a silly one as well, they usually are. Well, if I remember it right (I was pretty ticked off so I may remember this wrong) but I think the tee shot just rolled off or was in the rough. Not a big deal usually so I hit my next shot and was off the green but still not in trouble. I chip on but I'm in bad spot with lots of break on my par putt. I miss the 6-8 feet putt to leave another 6-8 foot putt with lots of break. I miss that one and the 3-4 foot breaking putt for double to tap in for a triple. I misjudged the first putt badly and that's what killed me. I've been making all of the 3 footers but just didn't put good speed on it to give another shot away. I had to keep it all bottled up inside too after that hole as the wife was napping in the chair next to me. I ripped up the course after that though, so I'll take that and move on. I'll probably take a week off though. My practice rounds for this week have averaged 6 over. Good luck out there!

Shot really well in R1/R2 (63/65...no bogies/one bogie respectively), but for some reason I could not deal with the winds in R3, I was all over the map taking the scenic tour (three bogies to end up at 73). R4 was a steady 66 (no bogies) for a grand total of -21 for the tourney. Whew, and all that while trying to recover from too much food on Christmas Day.

I simply have not been able to putt on these greens. When I miss, I miss by 6-8 feet. I've seen way too many 3- and 4-putts. My practice rounds with the scout camera and green grid on were okay at -2 and -4. But once I turned those off for the tournament, the wheels came off the wagon. (NB: I know I don't have to turn those off, but that's just how I roll. Off the front of the green when I miss a downhill bendy putt is another way that I roll.) At this rate, I'll be off to CC-E before you know it! (And deservedly so.)

My dad wanted me to relay a message about this course but I don't use that kind of language.
So...Happy New Year everybody.
See you all in CC-E in a couple.

Still at level here after 3 rounds and will play the last one today. Started R1 @ +3, R2 @ -3 and R3 even. This is a serious precision course too - out of position and it is bogey if you are lucky!

A terrible 73 last round.
Lots of bogies and kept letting ball get away. Usually ok with chips but I was too close to pins and kept fluffing them.
Back to E for me.
Happy new year all.
