My boy KCFox moved up, while I earned my 4th and 5th strikes, to move down to CC-E. Hopefully I can bounce back with an exemption...

Yup I moved up, but didn't do so well on my CC-C first tournie. A couple of even rounds, a -9 and a -1. I am in no hurry, I practiced well for this event but when I started playing just wasn't feeling it.
Hope you guys did well.

kcfox do you think that keeps you above the strike line in C? For my first D tourney I ended up -27, but finished with a disappointing bogey-bogey in round 4. I think I only had 1 or 2 bogeys for the tourney until that finish. I'm hoping that's still good enough to get an exemption to C and have been practicing at Sovereign Valley. If it's not, I guess I'll be hitting up Hookenslice Sunday and getting a feel for it.

lajvol20 I try to set a goal for -3 on the front and -3 on the back. So if this is your minimum baseline for 4 rounds. that is -24 mid to upper pack in group D. I think you are good to go from anywhere in the Mid 20s and up should get you to the next level. I am already practicing for next weeks tournie since I didn't have such a stellar opening in CC-C. I think I want to hang out in the C group for the rest of the season then make my move to the Web.com tour as goal for next season. Plus I like practicing with my buddy dgb1120 We practice quite a bit during the week, add 1 or 2 more blokes joining us is always welcome. I am on PC, steam name is kcfox. Good luck in the upcoming match. If you finished -27 I have a feeling I will see you in C group next week. As for me keeping my head above the strike line, probably not. I am sure Ill pick up a couple. I just looked at the D group for this week, -22ish in the second round for the leader, so I am guessing 30+ for the final score. -27 I think is going to be close to the exemption line but you definitely are clearing strikes if you have any. See you on the greens! KC

I did better on the CC-D tourny this week. I started off really hot with a -11, but had a rough -1 in the second round. Ended up right at -27 so I am hoping it is enough to get to CC-C. I would definitely be interested in a fun practice round with you all if I can get into CC-C after this week. My putter has been really good recently, and my drive consistency has gotten a lot better with the tour clubs.
BTW, KCFox, way to go on that win last week.

I'm at -26 and I think it'll be a few shots short this week for an exemption. Have to say, I really wasn't a fan of the course. I hit the ball probably better than ever but the greens! I know the clue's in the name (Ghostbreaker Classic), but that was infuriating.

I know the clue's in the name (Ghostbreaker Classic), but that was infuriating. I had a real problem with the 11th hole. I kept trying to cut that corner to land a real deep shot, and stupidly kept landing in the rough. I actually made it back on the green in round 2, but on the back side of that annoying hump which basically no matter how much I practiced I could never get the break right on

We play with turn order on and we just try to find the best shots on the course. It would be great to have a 3rd or 4th along. Great job on this weeks tourny man! Cheers!

Started new comp well going -8. Should definitely have been 10 or 11 really but missed too many easy ones. Interesting course though.

This is my first event -7 round 1... definitely an Interesting course I only hit 78% fairways... how? This whole thing is a fairway talk about an easy way to gain 5 strokes! FIR!!

Hmmm, I have something of an issue with the courses for the last two weeks. Now, I'm hardly the right person to say what constitutes a 'realistic' course, but the last two certainly have a novelty feel to them, which I don't think I like.
The over-arching reason is that there isn't really any variation on a hole-by-hole basis. I'm being facetious to labour the point, but last week's course was a case of rolling the ball up to within 10-20 feet before a coin toss over whether the ghost breaks got you, or not.
This week, I think, is even worse. The course is one large undulating fairway, with greens that simply slope from one edge to the other. On every hole. The lack of variation just makes life a bit dull.
I'm aware this comes across as a bit of a rant, but I'm trying to be constructive. I feel like I should be rewarded for hitting a good shot and punished for hitting a bad one. Certainly on this week's course, the lack of rough is a huge leveller; there is barely any punishment for being poor off the tee.

ajsr1982 I agree. I played the course for the first time last night and ended with a -43 for 4 rounds. I am no longer in the CC-AM (at least for now) but still like to play the season as I am up in the points in the TGC2 game in the PC CC-AM society. I did find that if you miss place your drive and get stuck on a slope it was a little tricky but just like winds a soon as you figure out the slope speed and how the ball is going to break off the shot its not so bad. Good luck to all the players this week. KC

I’m currently -29 after 3 rounds. My aim was to try get -24 over the 4 rounds so I’m doing better than I’d hoped. I’m sure the courses will get more difficult so I’ll enjoy my success while I can.
