Gonna miss out by just a few strokes. Dammit, this pisses me off. Not because of what any person is doing, but rather why the tempo is so inconsistent. I know I say it a lot but even with an upgraded graphics card there’s fluctuation- it’s just around 45 fps rather than 30.
Sigh... I need to calm down and focus on sandbagging to CC-Z and qualifying for the masters (yes that’s a joke).

Helloooooooooooooooooo CC-C! Art here, maybe for a visit, maybe for a cuppa joe, maybe to stay for a bit. Hey CiB0RG! We got a free trip to Bora Bora! Did you pack some sunscreen? Kinda need it, I'm a bit pale.

Hey CiB0RG ! We got a free trip to Bora Bora! Did you pack some sunscreen? Kinda need it, I'm a bit pale. Nope my sunscreen bottle wasn't approved by TSA to come in my carry-on and I won't be here long enough to pack a checked bag! After my round 1 performance I think I will just enjoy my time in Bora Bora and have a few drinks! Look out CC-C, I will be blessing your chat with one of my notorious Six Packs this week! For those of you who don't know what that is... every Tuesday I write an article about my tour and make 6 predictions of people who I think will win based on past results and their round 1 performance. This is just for your enjoyment and to maybe spark some discussion. Keep in mind I can not feature you in the article if you've already revealed your spoilers in the chat by then. This has been strictly a CC-D thing for the last couple months until now! Cheers!

Looks like I'll be brushing off my exemption for this week. I won't have my rounds in time for the 6-pack, but I wasn't going to make that anyway! Thanks for giving me a target Art, hopefully my swing is nice and rested and not Rusted!

I really laid an egg in the first round on a course that is going to give up some very low scores. I shot 62 in my practice round and 69 in my first round. Ugh. Wind was up but not too much and it wasn't really a factor.

Okay CC-C crew, I hope you all enjoy this article while I'm up here on the exemption!
Most of you know what this is because some of you guys that came up through the ranks have been featured in it. For the rest of you, it's very simple... I analyze stats, past results and first round scores for the week and try to predict a winner by Tuesday. I make 6 picks of players I think have a chance to hold the trophy at the end of the week.
Let's get to it. This week we are participating in the "Steamin" Willie Beamen Shark Charity Classic! The course is actually one of my favorite tropical courses, The Davies Course at Bora Bora (CC) designed by Mark Davies. The Medium-Fast greens do not play super difficult in my opinion, however, some tricky putts can cause lost strokes out there. No real secret to scoring here. Just hit fairways and greens and make putts. Each hole is a scoring opportunity if played correctly.
Here are my picks for the "Steamin" Willie Beamen Shark Charity Classic:
1. Billy Ellsworth (841) - I have featured Billy before in CC-D and it's no coincidence that he is my first pick to win this week. Last week he missed the Exemption Line by 3 strokes for a T23 finish. This was his 5th career Top 25 finish on CC-C and and 11th total on the Challenge Circuit. He finds himself in first place this week after a round one score of 60 (-12). Scattered bogeys cost him his exemption last week but his first round score carded no numbers over par. Billy looks to be on his game this week and with this momentum he has a shot at the win.
2. Roberto Doesmon (1034) - Roberto is a new name on my radar. I looked back at some tournaments and he has great potential. Last week at the Bel Air shootout he finished T18 missing the Exemption by only one stroke. A solid 57 on his fourth round last week made me conclude he was gaining momentum for this week. He began this week carding a 63 (-9). He currently sits at T7 but if he can keep bogeys off his scorecards he will be near the top by the end of this week.
3. Paul Giraud (798) - Paul dominated last week and won the Johnny McPhee's Challenge Trophee in CC-D securing his CC-C tour card. The dude won out right by 7 STROKES! Unbelievable and consistent play has given him lots of momentum coming to Bora Bora. His round one score of 62 (-10) did not surprise me and he is currently at T4 on the leaderboard. I would be surprised if he was not near, or on top of the leaderboard by the end of the week.
4. Mick Dean (721) - Last week Mick finished T38. He managed an Ace in his final round of the tournament! He started out this week well with a bogey-free 63 (-9). I think if Mick keeps up his scoring and keeps the bogeys off the scorecards he will be in the hunt for the win.
5. Darryl Williams (779) - With a T23 finish last week, I'm picking Darryl because he can flat out score and score well. With 4 Eagles and 31 birdies last week he showed he can take advantage of scoring holes, and there is a lot of them this week. I was not surprised to already see an Eagle on his scorecard this week as he started off with a 62 (-10). He is currently tied for 4th and I think if he just does his thing and prevents carding numbers over par, he can make a run this week. Watch out!
6. Torsten Pagel (1369) - Up this week on a Sponsor's Exemption, Torsten has caught my eye! Last week he finished T9 in CC-D. What impressed me about him is that in one of his rounds he shot a FLIPPIN 56!!! If he's got that kind of scoring potential I'm already impressed, but why I chose him this week is that he started out with a Round 1 score of 60 (-12) to be tied for the lead. I think if Torsten can pull off some amazingly low rounds he will be lurking for a trophy.
Thanks for reading! If I got any facts wrong please correct me and I will revise this post!

Excellent thanks. It sprung up on me quick and I had forgot to remind the powers that be to use the CC version. Lucky some of us are on the ball

Rd 2 Total choke job. Played like an ultra marooooooooon. 5 birdies, 4 bogeys. -1. -8 at the turn. When is the bus back to the D CiB0RG?

Come on, Art Vandelay , you can do this! Averaging -5 a round is usually safe, so you just need two -6 rounds (you've already shot a -7) to seal the deal. Take heart, mate...as they say up here in the Pacific Northwest, "Keep clam!"

I already know I finished poor. I don't think my -17 will be safe this week. Had a fun time at Bora Bora so at least there's that!

My quick taste of CC-C will be short as well. The putts would not drop, misjudged the speed of the greens on my approaches and just some general rust in my game having sat on my exemption for three weeks.
I'll be back though, the swing is close to being what it was that got me here.

Really enjoying this course (100x better than that fantasy land course of last week). I fair CC course as you will be rewarded for good shots but you can also find yourself at +4 if you're not careful (as I was at one point). The difference is the punishment isn't over the top terrible (unlike one hole last week where 1 bad shot resulted in me getting a 12 because I couldn't hit the shot anywhere near the green). Well done to the schedulers this week.
Good luck to everyone who still has rounds to finish.
