Now I remember why I don't play 3 rounds then wait to play the final round the next day.
4th round disaster.

Well, back to a normal course with normal scores again. One think I learned from the last course. You with get 93% or 99% on the fairway with 3W. I never really understood that fully. Might have happened before but when approaching the green that 20 yards did not really mean that much . . UNLESS that is a cliff at 93%.
Guess I better look for alternate fairways. . . did not use any.
Easy greens so far and nothing tricky

Easy greens so far and nothing tricky I didn’t really find any alternate fairway that seemed more logical than the current hole’s fairway. There were maybe two fairways that you could’ve aimed for that would’ve allow for more variability in the straightness of your shot, but I don’t think there were actually any that really provided any benefit.

Were you both playing tour clubs?
There were 3 definite safer options that allowed the same if not better approach option.

Like I said, there were a couple that you could play that were safer, but I found it was just as easy to aim for the hole’s actual fairway and play off the wind. Never hit it into the rough on those holes. To each their own I suppose!

Round 2...my worst TGCT round ever. I'm fighting just to avoid the double strike line now.... :-(

Round 2...my worst TGCT round ever. I'm fighting just to avoid the double strike line now.... :-( Welcome to my world last week. I came in like 127 out of 144 after being 2 away from a CC-A exemption. Just shows you can't get cocky or too down on yourself. I really think everybody has their nightmare course that pops up randomly.

I play Tour Clubs for fun when I practice a round but so far I like Player clubs better just for the consistency. NOT TO START ANYTHING (I wish there was MORE selection with actual clubs and balls, seems like a no brainer). As a Player Club player every decision was basically there for me on fairways but now I'll have to look deeper LOL Maybe I was missing the obvious. BTW - Next week is a week where Tour Club players REALLY have an advantage. Might have to switch it up.

I really think everybody has their nightmare course that pops up randomly. Wasn't really the course... I shot -5 first round, but couldn't hit ANYTHING straight in round 2. Got mired in the greenside bunker on 17, and took like an 8 there. Think I finished with an 81. Lost interest in round three and finished even. Never understood rage quitting, but got damned close in Round 2. Sigh.... Hope your world's looking better this week!

Lost my swing completely during my second round and just barely scraped a -5.
Found it again during my third round and managed a decent -8 that was millimetres away from being -9 after just missing an eagle chance on the 18th.
Solid showing in the final round should see me safe from a strike which is now my aim for this week.

Bogie free round in round 3 so I don't think I'll get a double strike THIS week. Last weeks -1 tournament is history as I'm 2 strokes from a CC-A exemption. Winds were a nuisance for sure.
Goes to show you - some courses just have your number for some reason. Funny to see players with 4 strikes that will go to CC-A

I think there's a good chance I get another exemption up to A, if only I could out back to back weeks together. If I make it will be the 3rd time up on exemption this season already. Both the first times I played so bad I didn't bother finishing my rounds because I got so frustrated.

Hi folks, first post....i've been lurking for a while, but since i'm a few weeks into TGCTours i thought i'd better join and say hi! I'd moved up from CC-C with an exemption this week, average to poor first 3 rounds 66-65-64 then a 58 in rnd 4 including an Albatross!! Hopefully if i move up again it'll be the 3rd consecutive promotion. See you all around. Keep it down the middle. J
