I have so many holes drawn out on paper, you should see my binder! I'll draw one up that's specifically for this course. Sweet! I delayed building another hole yesterday because I believe there are a few people who still wanted to be included on this - and because the hole I know I want to build will almost certainly be #16 so I need to finish #15 first - but am hoping to get back into things today. So if any of you other guys were wanting to get involved, don't hold back! Still need a par 3, 4, & 5 concept. Don't worry about being overly specific, because I'll probably end up blending the sketches with my ideas a bit more than with a couple of the other ones already built since these are the most important holes on the course. Or, if there aren't any more sketches pending, I'll happily carry on and build the final 3 holes solo . Would love to see my idea as the par 4 ππ»

Would love to see my idea as the par 4 ππ» Care to break out microsoft paint and draw something up? Don't want to come off in the wrong way here, but the "Sketch-a-hole" idea is kind of rendered pointless if there isn't a sketch. I could probably come up with something based on your description, but if you were able to throw together a very quick outline that would be ideal. Again though, it might not end up being exactly what you have in mind, but I'll certainly try to incorporate some of your ideas...if that makes sense. If that doesn't seem like a good enough reward for your effort in creating the sketch, then no worries! I don't want anyone to feel like they should be forced to do anything here, so hopefully that's not the case.

Iβd be happy to if I could, but I donβt even know how to upload a pic let alone use a paint thingy. It would just look like a straight par 4 anyway. The only key was the length of the flat spot being a lay up about 150m from the green. Iβll try to work it all out so I can upload a pic other than to my DP, and enter something next time if you prefer.

@bigm here is a post describing a couple of ways to upload an image that I made a loong time ago when I was participating in the Endeavour society event. I would recommend option #2 since it doesn't require you to download any extra program and is really easy/straight forward: Disclaimer - this is a lengthy post, sorry about that. I want to provide a couple of options for posting pictures on the forum with step-by-step instructions. Ok, here we go, 2 possible ways to upload photos to the forum quick and easy: 1. Gyazo screengrab from your computer (for PC)- Visit Gyazo.com and download the program (free, may ask you to upgrade but no need to)
- Once download finishes, install it wherever you would like
- Open by clicking on the Gyazo icon , which will turn your mouse into cross-hairs
- Click and drag a square around what you would like to capture, the area will become slightly shaded
- Once you release your mouse, Gyazo will automatically open your default web browser with the image you've captured:
- Once you are at that page, click the "Share" button at the top, then choose "Direct" from the 3 options that are given:
- Once you've clicked the small icon below the text "Direct," which looks like 2 pages of paper on top of each other and is directly to the left of the link, you have copied the direct link to your image
- Now, go back to your forum post and type in the following text (no spaces), pasting in your link where it says *INSERT YOUR LINK HERE*
<---this code can be used to post images from any DIRECT link, doesn't have to be from Gyazo. (note: have to show this in an image because the forum automatically converts the code, which means you won't be able to just type it in and see it once you hit "submit post") - TIP: It's always best to enter in your img code in "BBCode" mode on the forum, then choose the "Preview" tab to make sure it worked
2. Imgur upload from picture file (all, just need the picture on your computer)
note: there is an imgur app you could use from your phone, but that would be difficult to walk through here, so I'm leaving that out - Open your web browser and go to imgur.com
- Select "New Post" at the top of the page:
- Either click and drag your image file into the box that appears or choose "Browse," then find the file and select it.
- Once your file has uploaded, hover over the image with your mouse and a small downward arrow appears at the top right. Hover over that to get a drop down list, then choose "Get Share Links"
- This opens another box with 6 options. Click the "Copy" button for the option labeled "BBCode (forums)"
- You have now copied the entire text needed to post your picture, so simply go to the forums and paste it within your post. Again, I recommend doing this in "BBCode" mode, then switching to "Preview" to make sure it comes out correctly.
Hopefully this is a simple step-by-step guide for those of you that are less technologically inclined - that was the goal here. If you have questions don't hesitate to speak up here, or just shoot me a PM and I'll be glad to help.

Will think of a par 5 design for you if you want. Would water be on the left, right or be tree lined?

Will think of a par 5 design for you if you want. Would water be on the left, right or be tree lined? I want it to be whatever comes to your mind, then I'll adapt . I think it could stifle creativity to put a bunch of qualifications/restrictions on what you're trying to envision, because then it just becomes an assignment within an existing structure and not a free-form product of imagination. Just go with whatever you think is cool, then I'll try my best to find a middle ground between that and what fits with the routing, theme, and consistency of the layout. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with!

It's a par 5 that's around 535 yes. Off the tee it's 290 to the corner from the back tees and around 300+ to the rough so thought comes in for where to place the ball. Do you come short of the water or try to go a bit round the corner for a shorter approach. The tee shot is 20 foot down which adds a bit more risk. The approach is around the 235-245 yd mark if you hit well and it's to a raised green that's 10 yds higher than the tee landing area so you have to decide if you want to cross the water and the long bunker that skirts the water to catch the unwary to the green to try for the eagle or lay up to the left over the bunker to a fairway that slopes left to right towards the water. Up at the green it is separated into 3 sections, the centre/top right section is flattish with a workable slope that runs towards the water. The left section is lower and has a collection area in the middle but go too far and you will catch the small false front that will have you run off the green and leave a tricky uphill chip. The front section is lower still than those 2 and is reasonably flat and makeable but don't end up on the wrong level or you will be happy to par. To the right of the green is runoff that can leave a nasty chip that will be hard to stop.

Just for an update, and to consolidate the last page or so of posts, here is where we stand (I think). Ray is working on a sketch for his par4 idea, MrVinegar's par4 will be used for #16, James' par5 will be 18, and - unless anyone else has been working on a par3 and speaks up quickly - I'll go with a shorter version of Terry's par3 for 17 (already have 2 par3's of that distance, and another 200ish yard one. Am I leaving anyone/anything out? I really hope not...
