They're both from my account (I sent the link over to Vinegar), I'll try to put both up on Imgur or Photobucket. Don't mess with photobucket, they've changed their image hosting policy for free accounts (which I assume you don't have). Just go to imgur.com, click on "new post," and either copy/past or drag the file into your web browser window. It's super easy. Once it has uploaded, hover your mouse over the image and a couple of options will appear ontop of the photo. Click the down arrow, choose "get share links," and copy the link for BBCode. Just paste that code in your post (make sure to click the "BBCode" tab instead of "Preview" when your posting your message here) and you're set. P.s. Sorry if you already know all of that just figured I'd throw out the walk-through in case anyone else wasn't sure how to post an image. Trust me I realized my mistake immediately hence the edit

Loving this thread and all the thoughts being thrown out and Justin putting them down in the designer....
Great work all...

I'd be happy to sketch a little hole for you, what do you still need? Since I'm sure a lot of the course has been placed, if you give me an approximate length and shape and I can work with it.

I love this idea, would love to try it at some point. Nice hole designs so far, what are you missing to complete your back 9?

jivesinator this was a tough one...I really struggled getting the shapes to look how I wanted them. Didn't totally get it as close looking as I would have liked, and it's still kind of rough around the edges, but here it is (again, looks pixelated because I have my graphics waay low): I'm in a bit of a rush today so I'll get back to you guys sometime tomorrow on a general idea of what is still needed to complete the course. Pretty cool to see the interest from all of yall, thanks!

Looking good Justin, hoping some more ideas roll in, though I wouldn't mind whipping up another one for you.

A par 5 playing slightly up hill to a raised green, barely reachable in two. The hill on the left spans the entire left side of the hole and wraps around the back of the green. Tee shots to the left side of the fairway would need to be a draw or carry the corner of this hill. NB: The green stars are trees (lol)

Tee shots to the left side of the fairway would need to be a draw or carry the corner of this hill. NB: The green stars are trees (lol) Good timing on this one. I actually built #14 (I think) as a par 5 that used Friz 's general concept of a tri-section fairway, but it bends slightly from right to left at almost the identical angle as your sketch, and has the green set back with bunkers guarding the right side. It's almost like you read my mind on that one Eric - I'll try to grab a few photos of what I made sometime later today. The major difference that you'll see is that the hole isn't dead straight as in your drawing, but has a slight right-to-left angle off the tee if you choose to go for that 2nd part of the fairway. In the spirit of this thread, let me show you the 30 second paint drawing I just made of the hole lol: So here is where we stand. Holes 15-18 are still pending, which will be comprised of 1 par3, 1 par5, and 2 par4's. I think I have an idea for mrvinegar206's sketch, to make it a short-ish par4 with a small, challenging green given the shape, so that will leave 1 par5, 1 par3, and 1par4. The last 3 holes of any course are, IMO, always the most important. My philosophy with the closing stretch is to have them fun, reward risky plays, and allow players in a tournament on the course (if that ever happened) to win coming down the closing holes with birdies/an eagle vs. having them lose with a bogey...if that makes sense. So I'm open to ideas, designs, suggestions, and I'll do my best to incorporate whatever you guys have into what I think works best to fit these closing 3 holes - or at least the closing 4, because I may end up using that short-ish par4 idea for #16.

I can probably describe mine well enough.
Straight par 4. Slightly elevated tee where you can bomb it long downhill with the driver to a LW distance, but the smart shot is to lay up back 150m odd from the green, which leaves you on a flat plateau at the same level (altitude?) as the green, the driver leaving you a long way below the hole. Green running slightly from back to front, aggressive drop down from front of the green so if you spin it back off you roll to a medium distance bunker shot uphill so it can’t be chipped.
Hope that makes sense. Fill in any gaps as you see fit, but I see the long drive being a free long hit, just not the smarter play - and the LW being dangerous because of the added spin on approach to a green sloping mildly towards the trouble.

I have so many holes drawn out on paper, you should see my binder! I'll draw one up that's specifically for this course.

I have so many holes drawn out on paper, you should see my binder! I'll draw one up that's specifically for this course. Sweet! I delayed building another hole yesterday because I believe there are a few people who still wanted to be included on this - and because the hole I know I want to build will almost certainly be #16 so I need to finish #15 first - but am hoping to get back into things today. So if any of you other guys were wanting to get involved, don't hold back! Still need a par 3, 4, & 5 concept. Don't worry about being overly specific, because I'll probably end up blending the sketches with my ideas a bit more than with a couple of the other ones already built since these are the most important holes on the course. Or, if there aren't any more sketches pending, I'll happily carry on and build the final 3 holes solo .
