Ordinarily I'm a big stickler on the rules. I'm going to allow this one in only because of some of the issues guys have had with patches and such, and this will be the only course that will be allowed this exception (because I do know he had it ready to publish earlier and was going to submit before the deadline during a break at work). Therefore, in the interest of competition I'm going to allow it in. Note that this is a one time exception. When the Invicta rolls around there won't be much play in the rules set forward. The deadline is actually part of the challenge. Anyways, welcome back, culallen, and good luck. Thanks, Griff. I'd have been fine with your decision either way. I'm publishing it as is the second I get home. Please publish. You will have no issue getting through round 1. Erin Links is not for the fidget spinner crowd and is not suitable for play from any tee or any pin for CC.

Having played it a few times I could see it as a CCPro major with the right tees. The greens can be tough, but not undoable with the right distances and angles. I personally try to keep an open mind when filling out my score sheets, so people shouldn't assume "this doesn't work" or "that doesn't work"...it could very well surprise some what we see when going through the courses. Likewise, my comments in the live streams are just initial impressions...I evaluate MUCH differently and closer when I get into the scoresheet.

Are we supposed to designate a setup to play? Pin/Tee combo? I feel good about all of mine but if you need something for consistency with judges let me know... For sure back tees (blue or at worst white)

pin and tee combo if you don't want us playing the tips with pin 1... which is usually the goto.

Thanks for the play, steve. I saw Griff play yours, but I'm looking forward to firing it up myself. I love the concept of the Erin Hills replica.

Little late here, but just want to echo what others have said - great decision, glad to see the extra allowance made in reasonable circumstances. No problems whatsoever imo, and good leadership in the best interests of the competition.

I thought the quality of courses for Invicta was record setting and really stepped up the level of courses the rest of TGC1. All I can say is wow. What a start to TGC2. Amazing job everyone

Amazing job everyone Was thinking the same thing the other day. It's pretty awesome to see what the group of designers we've amassed in our little TGCT community can produce. Great work to all!

This is a testament to the community as a whole. Experienced designers have been willing to share their tips, make videos, and answer questions. That has helped immensely. Also, don't overlook the work HB has put into the designer. The tools and assets are constantly improving, making building courses easier. Lastly, credit goes to all the designers putting in dozens of hours to constantly improve and make things look just right.
