If you are in a society, such as TGCTours, which is free to join; leave that society, join this one and then rejoin the free to join society. That has worked for myself and others I know.

My friend Xcl_Taff has had his request to join in for a few days now. Is there a problem? He is a good player and only uses tour clubs in all his rounds. Has been since day 1 of TGC2.

I have accepted him twice in the last 3 days, if there is an issue, it is on his end.

Are there plenty of people contesting the tournaments in this Society?

No offense to the designer but that last course we played,I believe it was Woburn, shouldn't have been included for this game. Fairways were too narrow and this game is very penal if you miss the short grass. I'm using the tour clubs and many drives we just a bit off and I ended up in the rough struggling to make par. There were trees on some holes right next to the first cut blocking approaches to the green. I'm not sure how everyone else felt but I played very frustrated because I felt like I was penalized for hitting a good drive into very narrow fairways and couldn't get my round going for struggling to get it out of the heavy rough. Just ranting, but I'm curious to see if anyone else felt the same way.

Personally, I enjoyed my first round. Didn't play well but enjoyed the layout. I do agree some of the slopes on the fairways could have been toned down a bit but I didn't see anything earth shaking. It reminded me of Harbor Town which is a course I like IRL. I do think some designers need to lay off the heavy rough a bit. As in be more selective in its use with the current penalties applied. But if this was a TGC1 import. I can't fault the designer to much. Regarding tour clubs. This is what made me think it was a TGC1 import. I just clubbed down a few times off the tee. I think some of us need to learn as well that hitting driver off the tee is not a prerequisite for a good golf course if done correctly.
All in all, I like tight courses and didn't find this one too unfair. Challenging yes, but not too unfair. Maybe my opinion will change after R2.

Agreed with the narrow fairways with bad bounces. Another problem I am having is the green grids. One time they are moving fast and I get very little break and other times there are none and it breaks! Oh well guess its just from getting old and not being very good and Tour clubs..
